In the months after his father's suicide, it's been tough for 16-year-old Aaron Soto to find happiness again--but he's still gunning for it. With the support of his girlfriend Genevieve and his overworked mom, he's slowly remembering what that might feel like. But grief and the smile-shaped scar on his wrist prevent him from forgetting completely. When Genevieve leaves for a couple of weeks, Aaron spends all his time hanging out with this new guy, Thomas. Aaron's crew notices, and they're not exactly thrilled. But Aaron can't deny the happiness Thomas brings or how Thomas makes him feel safe from himself, despite the tensions their friendship is stirring with his girlfriend and friends. Since Aaron can't stay away from Thomas or turn off his newfound feelings for him, he considers turning to the Leteo Institute's revolutionary memory-alteration procedure to straighten himself out, even if it means forgetting who he truly is. Why does happiness have to be so hard?
Review : I loved this book it's beautifully written . This is about Aaron who has been through a lot his father committed suicide . There is this new surgery going around called Leteo where they make you forget painful memories . When him and his friends are playing man hunt Aaron meets Thomas they get close fast . Aaron has a girlfriend he loves and they end up having sex she goes away on a trip to do some art . So he spends a lot of time with Thomas doesn't spend as much time with his other "Friends " I wouldn't consider those people friends . Aaron admits to Thomas that he's gay and then he starts to fall for Thomas but he tells Aaron that he straight which causes a rift between them him and his girlfriend break up and he wants to get the Leteo surgury and his mom lets him but he gets beat up by his " friends " and almost dies and then he remembers he already had the Leteo surgery to make himself straight again he was fooling around with this guy name colin but then collin gets his girlfriend pregnant and Aaron gets the surgery now he wants to get it again and now he's having trouble making new memories .This book made me laugh and cry at the same time he lets go of Thomas he wants him to be happy hes says goodbye and he's read to be more happy than not . I will read anything Adam silvera writes I loved this book so much cause it talked about being gay being depressed all things people can relate to .
Quotes : I look down at my crotch and say , You better do what you were made to do . So help me god , I will ruin you if you don't . I will absolutely massacre you. Okay , Aaron, stop talking to your dick. And yourself.Genevieve opens the door in a sleeveless yellow shirt and bedroom eyes . Good conversation with your dick?
We all make mistakes . Every wrong I take is a mistake , but it's a step in the right direction . If nothing else , it's a step away from the wrong one .
Memories : Some can be sucker punching , other carry you forward ; some stay with you forever, other you forget on your own. You can't really know which ones you'll survive if you don't stay on the battle field , bad times shooting at you like bullets . But if you're lucky , you'll have plenty of good times to shield you.
The boy with no direction taught me something unforgettable : Happiness comes again if you let it

On a warm summer morning in North Carthage, Missouri, it is Nick and Amy Dunne’s fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservation. s are being made when Nick’s clever and beautiful wife disappears. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn’t doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams about the slope and shape of his wife’s head, but passages from Amy's diary reveal the alpha-girl perfectionist could have put anyone dangerously on edge. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media—as well as Amy’s fiercely doting parents—the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he’s definitely bitter—but is he really a killer?

Review : This book was fucking insane the character are fucked up people . This book is about Nick and Amy . Amy goes missing on there 5th anniversary and there place is a mess Nick goes to the cops . And he soon becomes the main suspect Amy set up all these clues for there anniversary . Part of the book was in Amy's diary's point of view and it was interesting to see her point of view when they met and there marriage .Nick calls Amy's parents down to come help they wrote children books based on Amy so fucked up . This book was so addictive I had to know what happened how it turned out . There are people from Amy's past Amy's ex boyfriend who tried to kill himself Hillary and Tommy . Nick starts to figure out that the clues relate to places he had sex with his mistress Andie and Amy is framing Nick for her murder like WTF Amy is a really fucked up woman she wants to control everything she told People Hillary that she threw her down the stairs and Tommy that he raped her shes fucking crazy Nick just needs to prove it . Amy's alive he's working with his sister and his lawyer . He does a interview to talk how he was a bad husband and he cheated he wants her to come home . Amy is hiding first at this cabin but then she got robbed and then she goes to desi and hides out there but then she kills him ad goes to Nick and it's so fucking crazy he says he's leaving her but she won't let him and now she pregnant and she got away with this I loved this book but shes's crazy I can't wait to read more gillian flyn's books .

Quotes:
“Men always say that as the defining compliment, don’t they? She’s a cool girl. Being the Cool Girl means I am a hot, brilliant, funny woman who adores football, poker, dirty jokes, and burping, who plays video games, drinks cheap beer, loves threesomes and anal sex, and jams hot dogs and hamburgers into her mouth like she’s hosting the world’s biggest culinary gang bang while somehow maintaining a size 2, because Cool Girls are above all hot. Hot and understanding. Cool Girls never get angry; they only smile in a chagrined, loving manner and let their men do whatever they want. Go ahead, shit on me, I don’t mind, I’m the Cool Girl.

Men actually think this girl exists. Maybe they’re fooled because so many women are willing to pretend to be this girl. For a long time Cool Girl offended me. I used to see men – friends, coworkers, strangers – giddy over these awful pretender women, and I’d want to sit these men down and calmly say: You are not dating a woman, you are dating a woman who has watched too many movies written by socially awkward men who’d like to believe that this kind of woman exists and might kiss them. I’d want to grab the poor guy by his lapels or messenger bag and say: The bitch doesn’t really love chili dogs that much – no one loves chili dogs that much! And the Cool Girls are even more pathetic: They’re not even pretending to be the woman they want to be, they’re pretending to be the woman a man wants them to be. Oh, and if you’re not a Cool Girl, I beg you not to believe that your man doesn’t want the Cool Girl. It may be a slightly different version – maybe he’s a vegetarian, so Cool Girl loves seitan and is great with dogs; or maybe he’s a hipster artist, so Cool Girl is a tattooed, bespectacled nerd who loves comics. There are variations to the window dressing, but believe me, he wants Cool Girl, who is basically the girl who likes every fucking thing he likes and doesn’t ever complain. (How do you know you’re not Cool Girl? Because he says things like: “I like strong women.” If he says that to you, he will at some point fuck someone else. Because “I like strong women” is code for “I hate strong women.”)”

There’s something disturbing about recalling a warm memory and feeling utterly cold.”

“My gosh, Nick, why are you so wonderful to me?'

He was supposed to say: You deserve it. I love you.

But he said, 'Because I feel sorry for you.'

'Why?'

'Because every morning you have to wake up and be you.”

LEARNING TO LISTENShoya is a bully. When Shoko, a girl who can’t hear, enters his elementary school class, she becomes their favorite target, and Shoya and his friends goad each other into devising new tortures for her. But the children’s cruelty goes too far. Shoko is forced to leave the school, and Shoya ends up shouldering all the blame. Six years later, the two meet again. Can Shoya make up for his past mistakes, or is it too late?

Review : Shoya is a bully and a jerk and when a deaf girl starts school he starts picking on her and writing mean things about her he doesn't understand why she doesn't fight back and all she does is smile . I wasn't sure if I'd like this because I don't like bulling stories especially involving a disability but Shoya learned his lesson he looses his "friends" but he wants to make up for what he did in the past and 5 years later Shoko is back in his life .

Book review : Silent voice vol 2

July 22-july 23
SPEAKING WITH ACTIONSIt’s been five years since Shoya Ishida bullied Shoko Nishimiya so badly she left their elementary school, because of one simple difference between them: Shoya can hear, and Shoko can’t. In the intervening time, Shoya’s life has changed completely. Shunned by his friends, Shoya’s longed for the chance to make up for his cruelty. When it finally comes, will he find the voice to tell Shoko he’s changed? And will Shoko listen?

Review : I'm loving this series Shoya apologizes and him and Shoka sort of become friends . Shoya makes a friend and there is this "boy" who doesn't want Shoya to be around Shoka but it turns out to be Shoka sister there was this fake artical that came out and Shoka sister was the one that did it . Shoka sister runs away from home and Shoka is out looking for her and no one can find her so they go and look for her I really enjoyed this one this series is really good .
