Lumberjanes #2Lumberjanes #2 by Noelle Stevenson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

March 29 - 29

When you’re a scout, nothing is more important than being prepared, but how do you prepare for legions of supernatural creatures threatening to beat down your scouting camp’s door? Jo, April, Mal, Molly, and Ripley are about to find out! It’s just supposed to be a normal day at camp with games and a bit of canoeing, but when the girls find themselves separated from the rest of camp they realize there really is a lot more going on and it might be a unhelpful river monster that gives them the key to figuring everything out. Don’t miss out on the second issue of this hot new series from Noelle Stevenson, Grace Ellis, and Brooke Allen!

Review - This one was crazy they were all boating and a sea monster and it's crazy I love these characters it made me laugh can't wait to read the next one .

Book Review : LumberJanes #1 by Noelle Stevenson

Lumberjanes #1Lumberjanes #1 by Noelle Stevenson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

March 27-27

WHY WE LOVE IT: Five best friends spending the summer at Lumberjane scout camp...defeating yetis, three-eyed wolves, and giant falcons...what’s not to love?!

WHY YOU’LL LOVE IT: It’s Buffy the Vampire Slayer meets Gravity Falls and features five butt-kicking, rad teenage girls wailing on monsters and solving a mystery with the whole world at stake. And with the talent of acclaimed cartoonist Noelle Stevenson, talented newcomer Grace Ellis writing, and Brooke Allen on art, this is going to be a spectacular series that you won’t want to miss.

WHAT IT’S ABOUT: Jo, April, Mal, Molly and Ripley are five best pals determined to have an awesome summer together...and they’re not gonna let any insane quest or an array of supernatural critters get in their way! Not only is it the second title launching in our new BOOM! Box imprint but LUMBERJANES is one of those punk rock, love-everything-about-it stories that appeals to fans of basically all excellent things.

Review - I loved the art the story is pretty cute and it's funny it's like girlscouts with supernatural stuff .

Book review Hera : The Goddess and her Glory by George O'Connor

Hera: The Goddess and her Glory (Olympians, #3)Hera: The Goddess and her Glory by George O'Connor
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Hera: The Goddess and her Glory by George O'ConnorMy rating: 4 of 5 starsThe story of Hera, Queen of the Gods, and the heroes who won her favor.Volume 3 of Olympians, Hera: The Goddess and Her Glory, introduces readers to the Queen of the Gods and Goddesses in the Pantheon. This volume tells the tales of the many heroes who sought and won Hera’s patronage, most notably Hercules. In Olympians, O’Connor draws from primary documents to reconstruct and retell classic Greek myths. But these stories aren’t sedate, scholarly works. They’re action-packed, fast-paced, high-drama adventures with monsters, romance, and not a few huge explosions. O’Connor’s vibrant, kinetic art brings ancient tales to undeniable life, in a perfect fusion of super-hero aesthetics and ancient Greek mythology. March 15-16Review- This one was a really good one Hera isn't my favorite goddess she is a little crazy but I did like the story of Hercules it was an interesting story I'm going to pick up the next two at the library . book review - Exquisite Corpse by Penelope bagieu

Exquisite CorpseExquisite Corpse by Pénélope Bagieu
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS !

Summary-  Exquisite Corpse February 9- February 9 Zoe isn't exactly the intellectual type, which is why she doesn't recognize world-famous author Thomas Rocher when she stumbles into his apartment...and into his life. It's also why she doesn't know that Rocher is supposed to be dead. Turns out, Rocher faked his death years ago to escape his critics, and has been making a killing releasing his new work as "lost manuscripts," in cahoots with his editor/ex-wife Agathe. Neither of them would have invited a crass party girl like Zoe into their literary conspiracy of two, but now that she's there anyway. . . . Zoe doesn't know Balzac from Batman, but she's going to have to wise up fast... because she's sitting on the literary scandal of the century!

Review -

I requested this on netgally . this graphic novel was okay it's about Zoe she has a crappy boyfriend crappy job until one day she needs to use the bathroom and goes up to Thomas rocher's house and he's in hiding he's been pretending to be dead him and Zoe get along until she finds out about that he's been pretending to be dead kind of sick so he can get good reviews on his book even sicker him and his editor use "lost Manuscripts" and then Zoe and Agatha had this plan that was genius crazy but I didn't see coming see Thomas had this book he was working on that's going to be a trilogy but then zoe pretends she wrote it like what it was a  weird book  I didn't hate  it but I didn't like it also

Book review : In real life by Cory Doctorow

In Real LifeIn Real Life by Cory Doctorow
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

THIS REVIEW  CONTAINS  SPOILERS  !

November 16-16

Summary - Anda loves Coarsegold Online, the massively-multiplayer role playing game that she spends most of her free time on. It's a place where she can be a leader, a fighter, a hero. It's a place where she can meet people from all over the world, and make friends. Gaming is, for Anda, entirely a good thing.

But things become a lot more complicated when Anda befriends a gold farmer - a poor Chinese kid whose avatar in the game illegally collects valuable objects and then sells them to players from developed countries with money to burn. This behavior is strictly against the rules in Coarsegold, but Anda soon comes to realize that questions of right and wrong are a lot less straightforward when a real person's real livelihood is at stake.

From acclaimed teen author and digerati bigwig Cory Doctorow and rising star cartoonist Jen Wang, In Real Life is a sensitive, thoughtful look at adolescence, gaming, poverty, and culture-clash.

Review- Anda has started playing Coursegold it's an online game is getting payed to kill this gold farmers until she meets a Chinese kid who is in trouble in real life what I loved about this story was the art I love the drawings and that Anda is not a typical girl this was a very enjoyable story about gaming and friendship until she gets banned from the game for getting money which is against the rules she helps out the kid and gets back into the game and officially joins the guild I highly suggest you read this graphic novel
