Book Review : Us Sarina Bowen & Elle Kennedy SPOILERS

Us (Him, #2)Us by Sarina Bowen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

June 16-18

Can your favorite hockey players finish their first season together undefeated?

Five months in, NHL forward Ryan Wesley is having a record-breaking rookie season. He’s living his dream of playing pro hockey and coming home every night to the man he loves—Jamie Canning, his longtime best friend turned boyfriend. There’s just one problem: the most important relationship of his life is one he needs to keep hidden, or else face a media storm that will eclipse his success on the ice.

Jamie loves Wes. He really, truly does. But hiding sucks. It’s not the life Jamie envisioned for himself, and the strain of keeping their secret is taking its toll. It doesn’t help that his new job isn’t going as smoothly as he’d hoped, but he knows he can power through it as long as he has Wes. At least apartment 10B is their retreat, where they can always be themselves.

Or can they?

When Wes’s nosiest teammate moves in upstairs, the threads of their carefully woven lie begin to unravel. With the outside world determined to take its best shot at them, can Wes and Jamie develop major-league relationship skills on the fly?

Review : I loved this series it was cute and sexy Wes is starting being a hockey player as a rookie so him and Jamie have to hide there Relationship but Jamie is unhappy with it and Wes's teammate blake moves in next door I love Blake he's loud and funny . I love Wes and Jamie's relationship they love each other . Jamie loves his Job except one bigoted guy . Then Jamie gets really sick and Wes and Jamie's relationship is out and Jamie is depressed and Jamie and Wes are barley speaking and Jamie is sick of being babied and doesn't want anyone's help and he ends up going to California to spend time with his family and Wes is worried and he does an interview and the interviewer asks if he wants to get married and Wes said he would marry Jamie any day. And Jamie goes to Wes and he proposes I'm so happy for them and they I loved these books .

Quotes : I brought you a cappuccino.” “You make it difficult to hate you,” I mumble into the pillow. “That’s what everyone says.”

I care more that they want to charge me eight hundred bucks. So I wrote an email to both travel and PR telling them to bill Blake because his fat ass broke it. And you’ll never guess what they said.” He snickers. “The clubhouse will pay for it because they don’t want the hotel to have a record of a third dude in that room. You and I are fine by the PR department. But gossip of a threesome is more than they can handle.”

One by one, even after the main courses arrive, every single player leaves the room, returning in The Shirt. I keep drinking, getting happier and sloppier with every sip of wine. They even got one for Jamie. He’s the last to leave and return wearing citrusy green and a big smile. “Now we need the picture,” he says. “I’ve asked the waiter to take it.” And that’s how Canning and I came to have a big framed photo on our living room wall featuring the entire Toronto team dressed in very loud gingham. I swear the color rendered a little bolder in print than it looks in real life, because this photo is kind of blinding. But Jamie snickers whenever I suggest that. But there we are, two dozen grins stained red from the wine, waving at the camera like idiots. Blake is in the back row, his napkin tied around his head like a bandana. I have a hand on Jamie’s shoulder right in the center of the shot.

And I look…centered. It’s not a word I’ve ever used to describe myself before. But everything I ever wanted is in that photo—the man of my dreams, and my teammates. I’ve left my smug smile behind in favor of one that’s so shiny I hardly recognize myself. But it’s me up there for sure. It’s us. And it’s perfect.

The way I feel about Ryan Wesley…it’s something I thought existed only in the movies. He’s my other half. We complement each other in more ways than I can count. When he’s in the same room, I’m focused on him, and when he’s gone I walk around missing him. There’s an old quote my mother once painted on a ceramic platter. Love is friendship set on fire. I get it now.

get the feeling that Blake Riley could carry on an entire conversation with himself.

“I miss the tongue ring,” I tell him breathlessly. He’d taken out the piercing at the start of the season. I guess the team didn’t think it was safe. “Don’t you worry,” Wes teases. “I can still rock your world without it.”

Lucky? I’m about ten seconds from committing a murder. Except I know that giant body wouldn’t fit into the hallway chute

are we talking literal place? Are you at an S&M club right now? Did you join the circus?” I roll my eyes. “Yes, Jessica, we joined the circus. Wes trains seals and I ride the bears. We bunk with the bearded lady and the guy who swallows swords.” “Is that a gay euphemism? Swallowing swords?”

“Probably shouldna opened all those drawers,” Blake carries on, rubbing his chin. “Ya can’t unsee some of those toys. But everybody has to have his own kinda fun.

“I have a sex look?” I ask instead. “Yeah. Your eyes go a little out of focus, and your tongue hangs out a little.” I snort into his armpit. “Sounds sexy.”

It’s Jamie. I’d marry him in a hot second, and I’m sure he knows it.”

We are children. Overgrown, testosterone-filled children.

“Ring,” I croak. “You…I…” My mouth is like sandpaper. “In that interview, you said you wanted…” Deep breaths. “To get married some day. And I think that’s something we should do.”

we decide we want to have kids someday, there are ways for us to do that, babe. Adoption. Surrogates.” I lightly pinch his ass. “Stop acting like you’re dooming me to a life of childless misery.”

Book review : A Court Of Mist And Fury Sarah J . Mass SPOILERS

A Court of Mist and Fury (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #2)A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

September 22- June 2

Feyre survived Amarantha's clutches to return to the Spring Court—but at a steep cost. Though she now has the powers of the High Fae, her heart remains human, and it can't forget the terrible deeds she performed to save Tamlin's people.

Nor has Feyre forgotten her bargain with Rhysand, High Lord of the feared Night Court. As Feyre navigates its dark web of politics, passion, and dazzling power, a greater evil looms—and she might be key to stopping it. But only if she can harness her harrowing gifts, heal her fractured soul, and decide how she wishes to shape her future—and the future of a world torn apart

Review : I freaking loved this book so much . I hate Tamlin though he can go far far away he was totally abusive to Feyre and there going to get married and she wanted someone to stop it and then Rhys shows up yess I love Rhys he is trying to help with her power and teaching her to write and read . Tamlin is telling feyre what to fucking do and I can't stand him I wanted to punch him in the throat . He finally traps Feyre in the house and she freaks out and More takes Feyre to the night court and then Feyre meets everyone in the night court I love them all Cassian , Azriel and Amren . I love Feyre and Rhy's relationship in this book They are both very smart ass towards each other . So the guy hyburn is trying to tear down the wall of the human world WTF he's crazy and Ryhs and ferye and everyone else want peace . Feyre has been training with Cassian to fight and there were many scenes where Feyre was checking out Rhysand oh god . Feyre and Amren end up taking this book and almost drown . I hate the fucking queens in this book fucking bitches . I ship Cassian and Nesta so much they butt heads with each other a lot . I so knew Ryhs was going to be Feyre's mate Ryhs's gets shot by ash arrows and then he gets taken and Feyre fucking kills those people so badassand she needs to heal him so she traps the surial again and the surial tells Feyre Rhy's is her mate and I knew it was coming but I screamed and I'm pretty sure Surial ships Rhy's and Feyre Ha . And she's mad at Rhy's so she spends time alone and she paints and Rhy's vists her and he tells her before they met he would dream about her and she accepts being his mate and then they have wow intense sex just oh my god . So Everyone walks into this big trap with Hyburn and fucking Jurian and they shot Azriel with an ash arrow and I'm freaking out I just want everyone to be alive and fucking Tamlin shows up fucking tool and he demands Feyre come with him ughhhh hate him and then they made Feyre's sisters feye and Elain is Lucian's mate OMFG . And cassian's wings oh god so Feyre fakes that she was like under Ryhs spell . And Feyre is High lady of the night court I loved this book amazing .
Quotes:
To the people who look at the stars and wish, Rhys."
Rhys clinked his glass against mine. “To the stars who listen— and the dreams that are answered.”

“I fell in love with you, smartass, because you were one of us—because you weren’t afraid of me, and you decided to end your spectacular victory by throwing that piece of bone at Amarantha like a javelin. I felt Cassian’s spirit beside me in that moment, and could have sworn I heard him say, ‘If you don’t marry her, you stupid prick, I will.

When you spend so long trapped in darkness, Lucien, you find that the darkness begins to stare back.

“I was not a pet, not a doll, not an animal.
I was a survivor, and I was strong.
I would not be weak, or helpless again
I would not, could not be broken. Tamed.

She is my mate. And my spy,' I said too quietly. 'And she is the High Lady of the Night Court.'
'What?' Mor whsipered.
I caressed a mental finger down that bond now hidden deep, deep within us, and said, 'If they had removed her other glove, they would have seen a second tatoo on her right arm. The twin to the other. Inked last night, when we crept out, found a priestess, and I swore her in as my High Lady.' (...) 'Not consort, not wife. Feyre is High Lady of the Night Court.' My equal in every way; she would wear my crown, sit on a throne beside mine. Never sidelined, never designated to breeding and parties and child rearing. My queen.”

Hello, Feyre darling,” he purred.”

I was burning through books every day - stories about people and places I'd never heard of. They were perhaps the only thing that kept me from teetering into utter despair.

“Say it,” I gritted out.
“The High Lord of the Night Court is your mate.

When you lick me,” he said roughly, “I want to be alone—far away from everyone. Because when you lick me, Feyre,” he said, pressing nipping kisses to my jaw, my neck, “I’m going to let myself roar loud enough to bring down a mountain.

Aware of every breath, every movement, I sat in his lap. His hands gently braced my hips as I studied his face. “And now I want you to know, Rhysand, that I love you. I want you to know … ” His lips trembled, and I brushed away the tear that escaped down his cheek. “I want you to know,” I whispered, “that I am broken and healing, but every piece of my heart belongs to you. And I am honored—honored to be your mate.”
His arms wrapped around me and he pressed his forehead to my shoulder, his body shaking. I stroked a hand through his silken hair.
“I love you,” I said again. I hadn’t dared say the words in my head. “And I’d endure every second of it over again so I could find you. And if war comes, we’ll face it. Together. I won’t let them take me from you. And I won’t let them take you from me, either.”
Rhys looked up, his face gleaming with tears. He went still as I leaned in, kissing away one tear. Then the other. As he had once kissed away mine.
When my lips were wet and salty with them, I pulled back far enough to see his eyes. “You’re mine,” I breathed.”

Why should I bother defending myself," Nesta said with lethal cold, "to a male who is so puffed up on his own sense of importance there's barely enough space in the room for his enormous head?

“You Illyrian males are insufferable.
Rhys had just said, Good thing we make up for it with impressive wingspans.”

I moaned then, tilting my head back to give him better access. His hands clamped on my waist, then moved—one going to cup my rear, the other sliding between us.
This—this moment, when it was him and me and nothing between our bodies …
His tongue scraped the roof of my mouth as he dragged a finger down the center of me, and I gasped, my back arching. “Feyre,” he said against my lips, my name like a prayer more devout than any Ianthe had offered up to the Cauldron on that dark solstice morning.
His tongue swept my mouth again, in time to the finger that he slipped inside of me. My hips undulated, demanding more, craving the fullness of him, and his growl reverberated in my chest as he added another finger.
I moved on him. Lightning lashed through my veins, and my focus narrowed to his fingers, his mouth, his body on mine. His palm pushed against the bundle of nerves at the apex of my thighs, and I groaned his name as I shattered”

I’m surprised there aren’t more mirrors in this house, since you seem to love looking at yourself so much.

Book review : It ends with us Colleen Hoover SPOILERS

It Ends with UsIt Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

December 29-March 12
Sometimes it is the one who loves you who hurts you the most.Lily hasn’t always had it easy, but that’s never stopped her from working hard for the life she wants. She’s come a long way from the small town in Maine where she grew up—she graduated from college, moved to Boston, and started her own business. So when she feels a spark with a gorgeous neurosurgeon named Ryle Kincaid, everything in Lily’s life suddenly seems almost too good to be true.Ryle is assertive, stubborn, maybe even a little arrogant. He’s also sensitive, brilliant, and has a total soft spot for Lily. And the way he looks in scrubs certainly doesn’t hurt. Lily can’t get him out of her head. But Ryle’s complete aversion to relationships is disturbing. Even as Lily finds herself becoming the exception to his “no dating” rule, she can’t help but wonder what made him that way in the first place. As questions about her new relationship overwhelm her, so do thoughts of Atlas Corrigan—her first love and a link to the past she left behind. He was her kindred spirit, her protector. When Atlas suddenly reappears, everything Lily has built with Ryle is threatened.
Review : This book was sad and beautiful . Lily has been through a lot and then she meets Ryle a doctor he tells her he doesn't do relationships but he wants her so they finally start going out but then in a heat of a moment he hurts her . Lily owns a flower shop and her coworker is Ryle's sister . She tells him if he hurts her again she will leave him . Lily's friend from childhood is back Atlas . When Lily was younger Atlas was a homeless kid Lilly use to smuggle food and they use to watch the ellen show and then there relationship became more until he moved and went to the military but now he's back he owns a restaurant . Ryle is threatened by there past relationship and speaks harshly to Atlas saying Lilly pitty fucked him . Lily's father was abusive to her mom . Lily is happy with Ryle , Ryle meets Lily's mom . Alysa is is pregnant. I wasn't sure I was going to like this book because I don't really like abuse books but it was told very well . Lily meets Ryle's parents and they like her and Lily and Ryle get married Alysa has her baby rylee a baby girl and then Lily goes home and Ryle has been drinking and he hurts her again twice one he pushes her and there was an incident Ryle accidentally shot his older brother and he died . Ryle tells lily he wants help that he needs to walk away sometimes but then something bad happened he hurts her again he bites her beats his head against her and tried to Rape her I FUCKING HATE THIS MAN and she calls Atlas and she goes to the hospital and she stays with Atlas for a few days and she meets his friends Ryle is going to England for three months and Lily finds out she's pregnant a lot to take in and she doesn't know what to do about Ryle she finally tells Alysa she tells Lilly to leave him . Ryle is back and Lily tells him off . And she tells her mom . Lily goes into labor and she tells Ryle she wants a divorce . Months later when she's bringing emmy to see Ryle she runs into Atlas she drops of Emmy and runs after him and I hope they end up happy together they talk about kids and charity .
Quotes:There is no such thing as bad people. We’re all just people who sometimes do bad things.
He pulls back to look down at me and when he sees my tears, he brings his hands up to my cheeks. “In the future... if by some miracle you ever find yourself in the position to fall in love again... fall in love with me.”
It stops here. With me and you. It ends with us.”
You can stop swimming now, Lily. We finally reached the shore.”
“Maybe love isn't something that comes full circle. It just ebbs and flows, in and out, just like the people in our lives.
Just because we didn't end up on the same wave, doesn't mean we aren't apart of the same ocean.” “Did I mention he was wearing a onesie? I’m talking a legit, full-grown man in a SpongeBob onesie.”
Yes. I kept the magnet Atlas gave me when we were kids. Yes. I kept the journals. No, I didn’t tell you about my tattoo. Yes, I probably should have. And yes, I still love him. And I’ll love him until I die, because he was a huge part of my life. And yes, I’m sure that hurts you. But none of that gave you the right to do what you did to me. Even if you would have walked into my bedroom and caught us in bed together, you still would not have the right to lay a hand on me, you goddamn son of a bitch!

Book review : Cupcakes and Ink by Helena Hunting *Spoilers*

Cupcakes and Ink (Clipped Wings, #0.5)Cupcakes and Ink by Helena Hunting

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

 October 1-9

Tenley Page is looking for a new start: a new city, a new apartment, a new life. Her plan is to keep to herself and stay focused. But leaving her past behind and starting over isn’t as easy as she thought. And neither is maintaining her solitude. As Tenley settles into her new surroundings, she finds herself drawn to Inked Armor, the tattoo studio across the street. But it’s the gorgeous, dark-haired tattoo artist who captures her interest. There’s something about his severe beauty that captivates her—and not just in her waking hours.

Covered in the ink he inscribes on other people’s skin, Hayden Stryker has made a career out of being a tattooist. He’s got his own business and a tight circle of friends. As far as he’s concerned, that’s all he needs. At least until his aunt, who owns the antiques and used book store across from his tattoo studio, hires a new employee. At first his intrigue is based on physical appeal; hot chick equals something nice to look at. But as he begins to catch glimpses of the fiery personality under the fragile, feminine exterior, his fascination with Tenley grows. Annoyed by his inability to control his fixation, Hayden decides the best way to cure him of the new obsession is to get to know the girl under her skittish façade.

But like the ink he wears as armor, Tenley has the ability to get under his skin and stay there.

Review- I loved this novella I can't wait to read clipped wings still waiting for it to come in the mail but I love this story so far Hayden I'm in love with him so far he's a pierced tatoo artist dream book boyfriend I can tell he's been through allot and so has Tenley she's kind of obsessed with him she lives across the street from the tattoo parlor and she ends up getting a job and he comes in there allot she's kind of skittish with him around . And he's interested in her he can't stop thinking of her they both end up looking at each other from each place which was both creepy and funny I need to know more loved it .

Favorite Quotes- One tattoo artist piqued my interest more than the others . Tall and broad , with dark hair , his extensive ink captured my attention as did his facial piercings .

Oh god , I was having sex dreams about her nephew . How much more embarrassed could I be ?

Inside the albums were snapshots of my life and all the people who had passed through it .

I could smell her perfume , or body lotion , or whatever she wore that made her smell so good. Like cupcakes . which I loved .

For the first time in years , I wanted .... something. Anything . As long it was real.

Book review : Until the end by Abbi Glines *Spoilers*

Until the End (Sea Breeze, #9)Until the End by Abbi Glines
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

June 30-July 1

he backstory that fans have been clamoring for—how Rock and Trisha fell in love—is the final installment in the Sea Breeze series from New York Times bestselling author Abbi Glines. And don’t miss the sizzling Epilogue, where Abbi wraps up all the Sea Breeze couples’ stories!

Trisha Corbin always knew how to hide a bruise. With her momma’s boyfriends unable to keep their hands off of her, she had no choice. And as long as it meant the guys wouldn’t go near her little brother, Krit, it was worth it. But her days of dreaming that Prince Charming would ever come rescue her are far, far in the past.

Rock Taylor always had a plan. Through football, he would rise above the life he was born into. A full ride to play for a major college team was within his reach—assuming he didn’t let anything get in his way. But scoring a date with the hottest girl in Sea Breeze was proving harder than expected. Trisha Corbin was every man’s walking fantasy, and she wouldn’t even glance his way.

When Rock finally does get Trisha in his truck, it isn’t for a date. It’s because he picks her up on the side of the road, beaten and bruised and walking to the local hospital. Before Rock knows it, football is no longer his life. Trisha Corbin is. And he’ll do anything to save her. And keep her.

In addition to Rock and Trisha’s love story, this special novel contains the wrap-up stories of all your favorite Sea Breeze couples: Sadie and Jax, Marcus and Low, Cage and Eva, Preston and Amanda, Jess and Jason, Krit and Blythe, and Dewayne and Sienna.

Review - This was such a great wrap-up to the series so it starts out with Rock and Trisha and it goes back to when they were in high school it was interesting to see all the guys in high school like preston oh god love him and Marcus and Dewayne they are like a family and I love that so it talks about Rock and trisha is the present and the past the present with there kids and the past when they met and Rock had to mostly beg trisha to go out with him she didn't want to deal with him cause she's had a terrible home life . I loved how Rock took care of her he had football on the line but he loved Trisha so much and cared for her and that's the kind of love you really want . But Trisha didn't know how to react he was always with a girl but when they hooked up for the first time it was out of love and he wanted her to be safe she was getting beaten for so long which was terrible and Rock protected her and in the end everything worked out . And then we got to see everyone's story end also it started with Sadie and Jax . They break up for a stupid reason Sadie was going to tell Jax she was pregnant but Jax dumped her cause he thought she kissed his drummer who was high at the time but she didn't and oh my god I loved Jessica in this she was standing up for her daughter and helping her through this Jax came back and she forgave him cause they were in love and then they had rough sex ;) . Marcus and willow's story was interesting so Low is pregnant again with a girl so sweet Eli is three now oh and Tawney her evil sister left and Marcus's parents are back together I loved the ending to there story . When Amanda finds a texts on Prestons phone from a girl she is freaking out and Marcus tries to murder Preston but it turns out it was a set up they get married but before they have wedding sex I wouldn't be surprised . Jess and Jason jess is having some problems she pregnant and she doesn't feel like she belongs she is always Jumping Jason to try to prove her love for him but they love each other and there engaged and happy there ending was so cute . Blythe and Krit's story was funny and cute so Blythe published her book and she's making allot of money now and Krit's nervous that if he proposes she will think it's cause of the money oh and Green hooked up with Matty's cousin yeah not good . And Green really likes this girl's hair LOL but when Blythe finds the ring she isn't positive it wasn't for her so she tells him and then she says yes aww so cute . Dewayne and Sienna's story had me in tears when we find out she's pregnant I was sobbing out of joy especially when Micah asked Dewayne if he could call him Dad and he cried and then I was crying loved it . Cage and Eva's ending was cute with Bliss's third birthday she is so like Cage it's funny . I like the ending to everyone's story when it ends 10 years later I was crying cause it couldn't of had a better ending I loved this series it was allot of fun and I loved all these characters .

Quotes-
Just like magic, each one of us had had that someone special walk into our lives and love us enough to fight for us. Life is funny that way. Fate happens, and it’s better than what you had imagined in the first place.”

I feel sorry for this town when the York and Drake boys all had cars.

The the day she gets married . .... wait, no . That shit ain't happening . No getting married . until she was , like maybe forty , or I was dead .

In a few months our lives would all change . We didn't know what the future held , but we had each other . this was my family . The one I leaned on since I was a kid . I could have taken a much different road in life , growing up the way I did , but having these three guys who gave a shit out me changed that . Somehow we had stayed out of real trouble . Marcus had always been there to remind us to keep it clean and stay out of Jail . I was going to miss times like this . But had Trisha and my future would always have her in it . That made the future exciting instead of terrifying . Since the moment she sat at the lunch table , laughing with the three people in the world who I considered family , I had known she was it . She was my future

We need to figure it out before your brother kills your groom ,

Preston , back the hell up ! Marcus , stop and ask him first before you commit a murder .

Book review : Hold on tight by Abbi Glines * Spoilers*

Hold on Tight (Sea Breeze, #8)Hold on Tight by Abbi Glines
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

June 28-30

Six years ago, Dewayne Falco's life changed. He lost someone he never expected to lose. Resigned to punish himself for something he felt he could have prevented, he goes through life without getting too close to anyone.

What he didn't expect was for the girl across the street to move back home and remind him of what they both lost: Dewayne's younger brother Dustin. However, when a miniature version of Dustin opens the door to greet him, Dewayne realizes he might not have lost everything after all.

Sienna Roy loved Dustin Falco most of her life. He was the boy next door, the high school basketball star and her best friend. But when his life was cut short, she realized he left a part of himself behind.

Now, she's back in Sea Breeze, thankful to have a home for her and Dustin's son, but not sure if she can ever forgive the people across the street who abandoned her when she needed them the most — The Falcos.

Betrayal, lies, and forbidden attraction might end Dewayne and Sienna's story before it's even begun.

Review - Now these books keep getting better I was really excited to get into Dewayne's story this involves Sienna who got pregnant with his younger brother's baby and he's also dead and her parents shipped her off I didn't like her parents for that reason alone but now Sienna is back and she isn't excited to see Dewayne one she sent letters a long time ago with pictures from her son's life Micah is adorable he's very protective of his mother and he's only five when Dewayne see's sienna again he's shocked and startled and she isn't very happy to see him cause she thought he knew but when she blurts it out he is more shocked and doesn't know what to say but he wants to get to know Micah he introduces him to his parents / grandparents but only the dad knows so far cause Dewayne told him I loved the flashbacks from high school one thing Dustin was a dick totally different from Dewayne . Dustin got very drunk one night after having sex with a girl he had pregnant and Dewayne was knocking some sense into him and he drove drunk and that's what got him killed . Sienna has liked Dewayne since she was fourteen and he helped her in high school Dewayne liked Sienna also but she thinks he can't be the guy for him but when they kiss it kind of changes things and then they have phone sex wow *fans self * I was so happy that the grandparents got to be apart of Micah's life they didn't get those letters the stupid mother took them ugh I hate her when Dewayne and Sienna finally get together I was so happy and eek they get engaged aww I loved this story .

Quotes-
You’re one of the best men I know. You wear your tats and piercings and those damn leather bracelets that only you could get away with. But inside you are one big teddy bear. When someone you love needs you, there is nothing you won’t do for them. When I needed you, you were always there. I’ve never questioned your heart. It’s made of fucking gold, and we all know it. We laugh at your crude jokes and snide comments because we know they mean nothing. It’s part of your shield. Underneath, I don’t know many men that compare. You’re one of the best, Dewayne. One of the best.”

I couldn't have written a more perfect ending to the story of my life . Because even with all those bad time and moments when I thought things couldn't get worse , the good time and the moments of joy and the love was all so much more . they made it worth it . The journey may not be easy , but when you find the one to take it with , then you can do anything .

Bad for You (Sea Breeze, #7)Bad for You by Abbi Glines
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

June 27 -28

Innocence isn’t meant for the addictive…The next sultry affair in the New York Times bestselling Sea Breeze Collection by Abbi Glines is unstoppably steamy.

Addiction is part of Krit Corbin’s nature—and women have always been his favorite obsession. But that’s the life of a lead singer in a band. He can have any woman he wants—anywhere, anytime. Well, except for one.

Blythe Denton is used to being alone. The minister’s family who raised her never accepted her as their own, and the cruel minister’s wife made sure Blythe understood just how unworthy she was of love. So when she finally gets the chance to live by herself, Blythe takes it and moves into an apartment building with a loud upstairs neighbor who keeps throwing parties all night long.

It’s during one such party when Krit opens the door to find his new neighbor standing there. Blythe wants him to turn down the music, but he convinces her to stay. She’s nothing like the women who parade in and out of his apartment, but Krit can’t resist her—her brown hair, cute glasses, and sexy innocence is too much for him to ignore.

Determined to win Blythe over, Krit Corbin may have just found his biggest addiction yet.

Review - I loved this one so much Krit oh my god swoon I have my thing for bad boy characters and he's on the list * fans self * I felt like I had allot of Blythe's Characteristis . She's very shy and not a big fan of crouds and she writes When she meets Krit they live in the same building and she's staring at him I was laughing my butt off . Krit has allot of problems of his own he's also obsessed with sex but wen he meets Blyth he's obsessed with her they hang out they eat together . Blythe works at the church where she meets Link who I now hate after finding out what he did but they go on two dates and Krit after awhile keeps a distance to her which was stupid because he has feeling for her but won't go there cause she is innocent but when she get's invitied to Daisy's party but she didn't tell Krit he's very surprised and he brought a guest Brit ugh I didn't like this girl and everyone is gaining up on Krit and Blythe sticks up for him oh she's really deep in this and she starts crying and leaves and Krit comforts her and then they kiss eeek oh my and he loves her but doesn't tell her yet she goes to his shows and it's so cute and they start doing sexy stuff and wow oh my I love the tattoos and piercings ;) when Brit tells Krit she's pregnant I was screaming like wtf and he tells Blythe and she's freaking out and then she finds out the Paster who she lived with had a heart attack and she goes with Link and Krit destroys his apartment and she doesn't connect with him for two weeks and then we find out that the preacher is HER REAL FATHER WTF I hate the dude . We also find out that Krit isn't the father of that baby cause she's four months what a bitch and Link he has a fiance what a dick I loved this story and Krit and Blythe together so cute together and I loved the song Krit wrote for Blythe .

Quotes - Are you done checking me out ? Because i'd hate to interrupt you

Most woman beg me to lick him , and I give it to you for free and you push me away , he said with a fake pout on his face . Your crazy. I giggled . I'm the good kind of crazy , though .

I've broken heart and left them in a trail behind me . But they only had me one night .
She owned my heart for years , then took it with her in her flight .

We are working! She was fine. You could see her. What the fuck is wrong with you? This is our job, asshole. You can't go doing shit like that when we have a packed house!"

Krit shoved him again. "Don't tell me what the fuck to do."

I had to stop them. This was about me. I wasn't sure why Krit had come offstage, but I knew it was about me. I had to fix this. I didn't want Krit fighting his best friend.

"Stop fucking shoving me, you pansy-ass motherfucker!" Green roared, and lunged for Krit.

I moved fast, putting up two hands and jumping in front of Krit to stop him. The force of impact when Green didn't stop hit me directly in the chest. It was as if someone had put a vacuum in my lungs and sucked all of the oxygen from the room. Nothing was getting in, and panic gripped me when I realized I couldn't breathe.

"Fuck!" Krit yelled, and his arms were around me. He was doing something to my chest as he begged me to breathe. I was trying to breathe. It wouldn't work.

"Baby, please breathe," he was pleading, and I wanted nothing more than to do that, but I couldn't. It hurt, and the terror that I was about to die settled over me.

"She got the air knocked out of her. She's gonna be okay," Matty said in a calmer voice.

And then the vacuum left, and the air I had been fighting for filled my chest as I gasped loudly and bent over. Krit was holding me against him as me muttered sweet things over and over while he rocked me back and forth.

"Take him out of here," Matty said.

I couldn't look up to see who he was talking to, but I grabbed Krit's arms to hold onto him in case they were talking about him.

"Not me, baby. I'm not leaving you," he said as his hand began running down my hair as if he were petting me. "Not going anywhere."

"When Krit is sure she's okay, he is going to beat the motherfucking hell out of you. Go with Legend and let him calm down first.”

But falling for the local bad girl was definitely not the plan. And as the two enjoy some naughty fun in the Alabama sun, Jason learns that though Jax is the musician in the family, he too can just as easily rock someone's world.

*****

Review - Now Jess wasn't a character I didn't think I would like but I did like her once I was in her head and Jason I love him he was stupid at times but I still loved him . So Jess and Jason meet in a very interesting way Jess was just done bashing her ex's car and she was running with a bat and she sees a car and that's how Jason and Jess meet and ever since then he couldn't stop thinking about her he also didn't know Jess was Rock's cousin until they all met up at Live Bay . Jess takes Jason swimming ileagly of course and then Jason takes Jess to go skinny dipping and then they hook up very nice . Jason and Jess are from two different worlds Jason is rich and Jess her mom is a stripper . But they end up breaking up after a trip to NYC and then they get back together after awhile Jess gets a job as a seamstress she likes sewing . Jason ends up seeing her at live Bay with Krit the lead singer of Jackdown and they are together I knew they wouldn't last they just liked hooking up with each other and Krit was obsessed with sex . But after awhile Jess realizes she can't be with Krit and then she goes back to Jason and she is happy again she finds out her mom is sick and she has to get a job as a stripper and oh god I felt so bad for her Jason and her break up and Krit and Jason end up in a fist fight and then Jason saves her and helps out they love each other when they finally say it I was crying so hard . I loved this one and I love all the gilmore girls comparisons from Jess's mom oh and I hated Jason's mom what a bitch she tried to pay Jess to stay away from her son I would punch her in the face still a great story .

Quotes-

Either you two go to your room , or i'm going to throw ice water on you both , I told them.

“If guys don't open doors for you, then they aren't worth your time.

Krit's gonna go apeshit,
Dewayne said in a singsong voice
Shut him up , I whispered to Rock.

Wanna dance ? I asked
No , Rock answered for him .
Hell yes , Dewayne replied
Stand up and I'll make you sit down ,
Rock warned him.
Dewayne just laughed and took a drink.
What are you doing , Jess ? Rock asked
Drinking , then dancing , I replied with a smile I didn't feel.
It's not like you , he replied .
No. It's exactly like me . This is me , Rock. I'm done pretending to be someone else . Now , Why can't Dewayne dance with me ? I asked , turning to pout at Dewayne who looked amused. Stop flirting with Dewayne , Rock said , annoyed.
I'm enjoying it . Please , let her continue , Dewayne said.

He could teach a Seduction 101 class . Or on the fastest way to get a woman naked .
Hmm , maybe , but it's cute , I teased .
Cute , huh ? Do I need to remind you of my sexiness ?
This time I laughed . Definitely not . I'm very aware .
Thought so . I'm hard to forget , he replied .

You're going to kill me or drive me insane . I can't seem to care . I'm looking forward to it , he said .

“I smashed all the windows in my ex-boyfriend’s truck.” “You did what?” I couldn’t have heard her correctly. That did not happen in real life. Country songs, yes. Real life, no way.

I had never expected to fall in love , but then , I never imagined anyone like Jess . She was one beautiful contradiction . The idea of letting someone else own my heart wasn't appealing . It sounded weak and foolish . Something meant for the words of a song . I was wrong . When I thought about my future now , Jess was all that I could see , and that was all I needed . I couldn't ask for more .

Book review : Sometimes it lasts by Abbi Glines *Spoilers*

Sometimes It Lasts (Sea Breeze)Sometimes It Lasts by Abbi Glines
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

June 21-23

Cage York has to choose between a love of the game and a love of the girl in this sultry Sea Breeze novel from New York Times bestselling author Abbi Glines.
After waiting for his big break, bad boy Cage York is finally called up to prove his worth in the college baseball arena. But when Cage’s girlfriend, Eva, mourns the sudden loss of her father, it’s not Cage’s comforting arms she runs to, but those of her former fiancé’s twin brother, Jeremy.

Torn between his baseball dream and the girl of his dreams, Cage must prove he’s worthy of Eva’s love, or risk losing her to Jeremy forever.

Review- This book frustrated me more than any of the ones in the series I still loved it but it made my head hurt at times or I was yelling at the book . So we are back with Eva and Cage and as happy as I was about that WHY THE HELL DID THEY HAVE TO BREAK UP ? I mean really and the stupid baseball guys were douchbags who sets someone up for that it was stupid cause they were so happy . Cage got a scholarship they were all set to go then the father gets cancer she has to go home and take care of him and she knows Cage has to go to school. But then she gets a text that wasn't from him and I knew that roommate was going to be a problem Cage threatened him Cage visits Eva and it's all good and then someone sends Eva something bad and I was swear I did not see that coming when she got these pics and video of Cage doing things sexual but it was all a set up damn assholes. And then Eva finds out she's pregnant gets engaged to Jeremy the father dies she's having a girl (Bliss) when Cage and Eva broke it I cried big fat tears this book was amazing when Cage found out about the baby he left school he wanted to prove to Eva that he was all in the whole engagement to Jeremy didn't make sense I mean he had a thing for her since he was five but they never kissed during this engagement they were meant to be friends that's it . when the baby kicks for Cage so cute I loved it so they end the engagement and Cage is doing nice things for Eva and they flirt and do things for each other and when they got back together and then he proposes eeek so cute . I was so happy and Low and Marcus are having a baby boy Eli so cute and then cage and Eva get married it was such a good continue of Cage and Eva .

Quotes -
Maybe he hadn't seen me studying his ass like I wanted a bite . Because we both knew I was a fan of his backside

I'd hug you , But i gotta go work with your man today , and he's watching me right now like he might need to come up here and beat my ass at any second .

Listen , bitch the only white trash in this room is the one who slept with a married man . An old married man at that . You call my man one more name and I will knock those ridiculously high heels out from under you. So back the hell off before you end up on you ass .

You need to run. Your ass may be bigger than me, but I can use a gun real damn good. So you’ve been warned. I’m coming after your motherfucking ass and I intend to put a bullet between your eyes.”

“Because I love you more than any goddamn thing on this fucking planet, I’m gonna let you have one more day. You just lost your daddy, and I’ll never forgive my- self for not being here with you. I’ll live my life regretting it. But I’ll be back. You’re mine, Eva Brooks. Always. You told me that yourself and, sweetheart, I’m holding you to it.

I worship the ground Eva walks on. I love her smile. I love the way she gets in a snit and her lips get all pinched up. I love the way she thinks she has to cook for me. I love the fact that she lets me butter her biscuit. I love the way she curls into me at night and lets me hold her. I also love how perfect it is when I’m making love to her. How I feel complete.”

Jeremy brought you halfway, but the rest is mine. I’ve had you the rest of the way.” He said as Jeremy handed me over and pressed a kiss to my cheek.
I looked up at Cage as he tucked my arm into his and bestowed me with one of his soul-stealing grins. “It’s time we start our always, Eva.”
I turned to face him. I stood on my tiptoes and pressed a kiss to his lips. Then I whispered, “We already have. We’ve been working on our always since you walked into my world with a cocky swagger and a smile.”

Book review : Just for now Abbi Glines *Spoilers*

Just for Now (Sea Breeze, #4)Just for Now by Abbi Glines
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

June 20-21

An insatiable attraction heats to the boiling point in this steamy book set in the shore town of Sea Breeze from the author of the white-hot The Vincent Boys.

Preston is one bad boy. And Amanda has harbored a crush on him for forever. When she finally makes her move on him, it does not end well. But still, she can’t resist him. Especially now that he seems to be pursuing her, too.

No one wants wants them to be together. Not Amanda’s brother Marcus, who is on the verge of his marriage to Low, and definitely not any of Preston’s buddies. They know way too much about Preston’s dark side. Even Preston realizes he’s not good enough for someone like her.

But Amanda believes there is more to Preston than his bad boy persona, and she is determined to unearth what he’s hiding behind his seductive blue eyes—secrets that could explain his actions. Secrets Amanda might not be able to forgive.

Yet the dangerous attraction persists...and neither Preston nor Amanda is going to deny it

Review - Okay this is the one that had me on the edge of my seat the most okay So Amanda and Preston Hook up HOLY SHIT okay so Preston was drunk and they hooked up in the back of the club oh my god I was freaking out . And oh god I was so worried so when they have sex again this time it was way differnt and when Marcus found out I was so sure he was going to kill him all he did was punch him allot Amanda of course has been off limits best friends sister yeah probably shouldn't go there but he did and all of his friends are like body guards for Amanda . Quotes-
He ain't planning on talking to you. He's planning on whooping your ass and then locking his sister up in her bedroom for the rest of her life . I just hope he ain't got a gun on him.

“Hearts don’t realize they’ve been lied to. They still love anyway.

“I love you. I love you so damn much it consumes me. I don't deserve you, but I'm gonna become the man who does deserve you. I promise you. I'll make you proud of me.”

“Sometimes the answer we need is in our heart. We just have to listen to it.

Book review : While it Last by Abbi Glines *Spoilers*

While it Lasts (Sea Breeze)While it Lasts by Abbi Glines
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

June 18-20

Cage brings his playboy prowess to the countryside as the Sea Breeze hookups continue, from self-published phenomenon Abbi Glines.
Low broke Cage’s heart by getting with Marcus in Because of Low. Cage went into a tailspin that ended in a DUI. In order to salvage his baseball scholarship—the one thing he truly valued besides Low—Cage must take a summer job. At a farm. Away from Sea Breeze. With lots of cows, but no hot girls. Maybe that’s what Cage needs to get back on track.

But wait—there’s that hostile daughter of the farm boss. She’s pretty and occasionally sweet, and there seems to be a lot of sadness and mystery behind her anger. Cage is dying to strip her down—physically and mentally—in the back of the barn. But is he prepared for what will happen afterward?

Review- I loved this one I have a thing for bad boys yes Cage york is a big bad boy when he get's a DUI and is sent with the country and meets Eva who hates him . Eva has been through allot her fiance / best friend was killed in the war and oh my god that letter he sent her made me sob so hard. Her and Cage have a love hate relationship they end up doing allot more than flirting in the lake oh my shit who knew a nipple ring was a thing I would find attractive ;) when Eva gets freaking drunk one night she sleeps in Cage's bed . Eva knows she has to go on with her life she took off her ring Jeremy her fiance twin is moving away she starts using her jeep she starts playing her guitar and everyone keeps telling her that Cage isn't the type she should be with she ends up sleeping with him and her father threatens him and he has to leave everyone is wondering why Cage is so upset Low tells him to fight for her he goes back to her house Eva thought he just left but he says he loves her but she just stood there OH MY GOD EVA and then when Cage is about to leave the bar there is Eva singing him a song and I loved this book so much Eva and Cage are so cute . And in the End when she wrote that letter to Josh I was balling my eyes such a good ending .

Quotes-
Only problem with talking about licking with you is that it gives me ideas . I start thinking about things I shouldn't be thinking about . Things that will only torment me 'cause I'll never know just how sweet you taste . I ma be a lot of things , Eva may even be a few of them names you called me , but i'm not going touch what belongs to another man.

If you really want to talk about licking , I'll happily oblige

Really ? well , thank you. I was under the impression you wouldn't spit on me if I was on fire .

An Engaged lady shouldn't be looking at another man like she wants to take a lick

“You see somethin' ya want, baby?"
"Maybe. I'm checking things out. Seeing if I'm interested," I shot back with my own evil grin.
"I see something I want," he drawled as he came toward me.
"You do?"
"Hell yeah, I do," he murmured. "I love chocolate." What? My excitement turned to confusion. His arm reached out beside me and took the piece of chocolate cake I'd brought him.”

“You are such a bad boy." She tugged on the hair that brushed my collar.
"I can be real bad. You haven't seen anything yet," I murmured, bending my head so I could take a nip at the soft skin at the back of her neck.
"I'm not sure I could keep up with you. I'm extremely inexperienced. We are in completely different planets when it comes to sexual experience," her breathing was labored as I licked and kissed different sweet spots on her shoulders and collarbone.
"I didn't say anything about sex, Eva," I grinned before kissing her jawline. "You're the naughty one who brought up sex.”

I understood that pain was real and sometimes things didn't last. Sometimes you just had to enjoy it while it lasts and cherish it when it's gone.”

And I'm excited to  see this  when  it comes out in movies :)

Book review : Because of Low By Abbi Glines *Spoilers*

Because of Low (Sea Breeze, #2)Because of Low by Abbi Glines
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

June 17-19
It’s steamy in the Gulf town of Sea Breeze. Physical attraction is the only way to beat the heat in this start to a series from bestselling, previously self-published author Abbi Glines.

Playboy Cage owns the apartment, and he hosts a revolving door of people, in and out, at all times. Most of them are long-legged hot girls who are never there more than a night or two. When Cage’s new roommate, Marcus, enters the picture, he’s just looking to nurse a broken heart. But there’s one particular semi-frequent regular who catches his eye.

Willow—“Low”—is the one Cage wants to marry. But the two of them are night and day, and Marcus can’t see how Low puts up with all of Cage’s womanizing. What she really needs is a real man....like good-looking and sensible Marcus. But that’s going to get real complicated and real messy—real fast.

Book review- This one is my favorite so far I loved hearing more about Marcus Hardy *Swoon* Marcus has come home because of family problems his dad cheated on his mom with a younger woman he works with . He's living with a guy who sleeps with allot of woman Cage is an interesting Character Then we meet Low cage's best friend who he tells people he's going to marry her she comes to the apartment crying and she always sleeps in cage's bed but she's not attracted to him . Marcus likes low and one day when Low is watching Larrissa who is adorable Marcus kisses her awww and then they go out on a date and this girl jess is always causing problems but Low does tell her off finally . Marcus brings Low to meet his mom and his dad didn't show of course cause he's a dick and Low was very good with them all I hated Low's sister she was a bitch and the baby daddy was twice her age . There was this scene where Low and marcus were getting very hot and heavy very nice *fan self* and he was doing something in the shower and low saw oh my freaking god . I really thought Cage was going to kill marcus when he found out but he didn't I love Marcus and Low together they are good for each other but holy shit I did not see this coming Low's sister is with Marcus's dad which Makes Larrisa Amanda and Marcus's sister ,holy shit and she goes to the house and comforts them and Marcus comes over and he thought she knew the entire time and broke up . Oh god so bad Low gets really sad but Marcus father tells him she didn't know and Marcus goes to low and she forgives him but she can't put her heart through that again I can see where she's coming from . But Cage tells low to give him another chance and Marcus leaves Low a vintage concert t-shirt awww so sweet and then they get back together and make love and I loved this book so much .

Quotes-

I love you.” My heart almost stopped beating in my chest.
She hadn’t spoken those words since the last time I held her in my arms.
“And you did leave me. But... but you came back. No one’s ever come back. They leave me and that’s it. They want to leave me. You didn’t. And you came back.” I wanted to stand up and reach across the table and jerk her into my arms but I wasn’t sure I could stand up just yet. I needed to hear everything she had to say.
“Yes, I came back. My heart never left you.”
“I miss you.”
This time I stood up and walked around the table.
“I miss you. Every second of every day,” I whispered. Her eyes followed me until I was inches from her.
“I trust you.”
I needed more than that.
“You trust me,” I repeated.
She nodded and her hand came up and caressed the side of my arm.
“I want to try again.”
Those were the words I needed to hear.”

Marcus , Please . The hand froze . I opened my eyes and started directly up into Cage's face . Did you just call me Marcus ?

Marcus Hardy was straight out of those gushy romance novels .

I'm not done here . I'm just beginning , Low . But I couldn't walk away again without that kiss.

Can their love overcome the disparity in their lifestyles? One breath at a time, they’re going to find out.

Review - I loved this book this story was so cute this book is about Sadie and because her pregnant mother can't work she takes a job to work in a famous teen stars home . Jax can't wait to get away from the spotlight for a few months and then he meets sadie and he can't stay away no matter how he tries . There were allot of characters I loved Marcus *swoon alert* those Alabama boys ;) and right when Marcus is about to ask Saddie out Jax comes out and offers her a ride and she goes with him she knows it won't last but it doesn't stop her heart and how she feels about Jax . Saddie meets a new friend Amanda who turns out to be Marcus's younger sister . when Jax takes Sadie out to there own private movie things get allot hot and heavy wow ;) when Marcus tells her about Jax's "girlfriend" she gets upset and then Marcus kisses her HOLY CRAP ! I thought Sadie and Marcus would be good together if jax didn't exist but you can't help who you fall for other characters I loved were Marcus's friend Preston who was obviously hitting on Sadie allot and Marcus would usually punch him LOL . And Mrs . Marry who was mostly a mother figure to Sadie . When Sadie and Jax go to a party and then go back to his room and it gets hot and heavy again wow *blushes * oh and when they shower together wow that was wow and when they finally have sex it was so beautiful but sexy . When people find out about Sadie and Jax they break up and Sadie goes into a depression her mom has the baby Sam and her mom oh my god she wouldn't even hold him Sadie ends up falling on her bike and cracking her head cause she was over exerting herself Jax sings her out of her coma mostly and he shows up at homecoming I loved it so cute .

Quotes-

“You're with me, Sadie. When you're off the clock, you're not my employee. You're my.. Air."
I frowned at him. "Your air?"
He grinned. "Well, girlfriend seems to be a shallow word for what I feel for you..”

“If hearts could shatter, mine just did.”

I was going to cheat and pull down the fender stratocaster original over there and play you one of my number ones . See if I could get you to become putty in my hands, or at least throw your panties at me .

You're everything I write about in my songs but can never have .

Any girl in a ten-mile radius is going to stare you down if you wear if. It's impossible not to. A huge grin broke across his face. So does this mean you like me in this shirt ? I sighed and sat up a little straighter . I'm mature for my age , Jax not blind .

Book review - Ugly love by Colleen hoover *Spoilers*

Ugly LoveUgly Love by Colleen Hoover
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

May 6- 11

Summary When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she doesn't think it's love at first sight. They wouldn’t even go so far as to consider themselves friends. The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction. Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they have the perfect set-up. He doesn’t want love, she doesn’t have time for love, so that just leaves the sex. Their arrangement could be surprisingly seamless, as long as Tate can stick to the only two rules Miles has for her.

Never ask about the past.
Don’t expect a future.

They think they can handle it, but realize almost immediately they can’t handle it at all.

Hearts get infiltrated.
Promises get broken.
Rules get shattered.
Love gets ugly.

 THIS REVIEW  CONTAINS  SPOILERS !

Review- When Tate colins moves in with her pilot brother she meets a very unexpected person while trying to get into her apartment a drunk guy is laying on the door she tries to get past him but can't she calls her brother corbin and he calls his friend Miles to help turns out Miles is the drunk guy she drags him in and brings him to the couch and he starts crying in his sleep about Rachel I was so heartbroken for him . The next morning he is staring at her and Tate isn't a morning person so she shuts the door in his face which I thought was funny as Miles corbin and Tate are bringing up all her stuff from her car Tate and Miles re- introduce themselves so sweet. What I really loved about this book I just felt for these characters when we got to hear about Miles and what he was doing 6 years earlier .When he met Rachel when he fell for Rachel when he found out she was his dad's girlfriends daughter he really loved this girl and I wanted to know what separated them I wanted to know why Miles hadn't been with a girl in six years . But at thanksgiving he kisses Tate and then they decided to have a kind of neighbors with benefits cause they both work really hard Miles a pilot and Tate a Nurse but one of the funniest scenes in this book was when there at dinner and Tate's mom is asking if he's seeing anyone and she kind of thinks he is gay and Corbin thought it was this big secret and he is like I'm not gay I was laughing so hard cause he though Miles was gay for three years hahaha . So when Tate and Miles finally hook up wow so steamy . I didn't actually like that he always kind of left her after I mean I get the whole no strings thing in the sense but Miles can't even admit he likes her as a person and it made me so angry at times cause I'm like Tate this guy isn't going to budge why are you with him. I mean after reading this I kind of get Miles a lot more he went though allot with Rachel when they found out they were pregnant they go to tell there parents but then we find out there already married oh god oh god . so I was like I can totally get if he has a kid and he's hiding that from her but he won't even tell her simple things from his past like nothing other Characters I loved were Miles's best friend Ian and Cap the old man who worked in the building two different characters but totally worked so well in this story . So they keep hooking up and all that and she is I think try to get him to want something more but he doesn't he can't he says. So Rachel has the baby and it's so cute and they are on there way home and they crash into a lake and oh god I was freaking out cause that must be how he got his scar holy crap he saves Rachel but he can't get the baby he dies and I'm crying at this point and Rachel blames him and she leaves him . Favorite Quotes-
“Love isn't always pretty. Sometimes you spend all your time hoping it'll eventually be something different. Something better. Then, before you know it, you're back to square one, and you lost your heart somewhere along the way.”

What's your deal then ? I ask him . You have STD it's the nurse in me . I have no medical filter . He laughs . Pretty damn clean , he says . He still doesn't explain himself , though . It's been six years since you kissed a girl, then why did you kiss me ?

If your Hand gets infected and you die , I'm denying any part in this . If my hand gets infected and I die , I'd be to dead to be you . Good point , I say

I don't know if I can do this , Miles . I don't know if I can fallow rule number two , Because I suddenly want to climb into your future more than I want to climb into the backseat with you.

When life gives you lemons, make sure you know whose eyes you need to squeeze them in

Sometimes not speaking says more than all the words in the world.

“Ugly love becomes you. Consumes you. Makes you hate it all. Makes you realize that all the beautiful parts aren't even worth it. Without the beautiful, you'll never risk feeling the ugly. So you give it all up. You give it all up. You never want love again, no matter what kind it is, because no type of love will ever be worth living through the ugly love again.

Tate lays her head on my arm, and we both watch her.

Our daughter.

I love you so much, Sam.

I’m looking down at the perfection we created when it hits me.

It’s all worth it.

It’s the beautiful moments like these that make up for the uglylove.”

Book Review - This girl : Colleen Hoover *Spoilers*

This Girl (Slammed, #3)This Girl by Colleen Hoover
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

February 25- May 5
There are two sides to every love story. Now hear Will’s.

Colleen Hoover’s New York Times bestselling Slammed series has brought countless readers to their knees with a whirlwind of love, passion, and heartache.

Layken and Will’s love has managed to withstand the toughest of circumstances and the young lovers, now married, are beginning to feel safe and secure in their union. As much as Layken relishes their new life together, she finds herself wanting to know everything there is to know about her husband, even though Will makes it clear he prefers to keep the painful memories of the past where they belong. Still, he can’t resist his wife’s pleas and so he begins to untangle his side of the story, revealing for the first time his most intimate feelings and thoughts, retelling both the good and bad moments, and sharing a few shocking confessions of his own from the time when they first met.

In This Girl, Will tells the story of their complicated relationship from his point of view. Their future rests on how well they deal with the past in this final installment of the beloved Slammed series.

THIS REVIEW CONTAINS  SPOILERS  !

Review- I think this may be my second favorite of the series I loved this one so much hearing from Will's POV from slammed .While their on there honeymoon was so cute there were some sad points though like when his ex girlfriend dumped him she was a bitch in point of retreat and she was in this girl . I loved seeing him see lake for the first time from his POV it was so sweet I loved him even more in this book especially the ending when they were in the car and listening to the Avett brothers who I now love and will is like it better not be Nicklback I was laughing . And when they went to the slam I loved the "Really long poem " it was very good and when he kept the chocolate milk on the rocks it was so sweet .And we also find out that Gavin knew all along I think I love Gavin way more now cause he had to put up with Will though all of this . And the kiss awww so sweet and then it goes down hill down from there when he find out he's her teacher. It was so bad and even hearing again was bad I read this one with audiobook and it made it even better I liked hearing from the honeymoon way better sometimes. Like when they agreed never to carve pumpkins with each other good .And the scene in the pool oh my god I really loved seeing what hell will was going though that it wasn't easy for him and him finding out Julia has cancer I was crying more and when he preformed "This Girl " one of my favorite poems he has done I mean other than the one about the Lake oh my god. When he confesses his feeling and she's 'kissing' Javi and he wanted to kill him oh I wanted to also oh god and the moment of weakness come on will I know he wants to give her time when he was judging at the slam and she came up oh my freaking god he was like she loves me she loves me . I think the most awkward scene was the scene when Julia caught them together oh god but everything about this book was amazing. when they go home and celebrate with everyone and kirsten tells the boys about sex I'm laughing. And oh Eddie and Gavin are engaged so sweet the epilogue Lake is having her daughter and they name her Julia Kel gives will a letter from Julia it was so sweet it made me cry and Will does his final piece such a great series I loved everything about this series the characters the poems and the romance .

Quotes-
my final piece
We’re born into the world
As just one small piece to the puzzle
That makes up an entire life.
It’s up to us throughout our years,
to find all of our pieces that fit.
The pieces that connect who we are
To who we were
To who we’ll one day be.
Sometimes pieces will almost fit.
They’ll feel right.
We’ll carry them around for a while,
Hoping they’ll change shape.
Hoping they’ll conform to our puzzle.
But they won’t.
We’ll eventually have to let them go.
To find the puzzle that is their home.
Sometimes pieces won’t fit at all.
No matter how much we want them to.
We’ll shove them.
We’ll bend them.
We’ll break them.
But what isn’t meant to be,
won’t be.
Those are the hardest pieces of all to
accept.
The pieces of our puzzle
That just don’t belong.
But occasionally . . .
Not very often at all,
If we’re lucky,
If we pay enough attention,
We’ll find a
perfect match.
The pieces of the puzzle that slide right in
The pieces that hug the contours of our own
pieces.
The pieces that lock to us.
The pieces that we lock to.
The pieces that fit so well, we can’t tell
where our piece begins
And that piece ends.
Those pieces we call
Friends.
True loves.
Dreams.
Passions.
Beliefs.
Talents.
They’re all the pieces that complete our
puzzles.
They line the edges,
Frame the corners,
Fill the centers,
Those pieces are the pieces that make us
who we are.
Who we were.
Who we’ll one day be.
Up until today,
When I looked at my own puzzle,
I would see a finished piece.
I had the edges lined,
The corners framed,
The center filled.
It felt like it was complete.
All the pieces were there.
I had everything I wanted.
Everything I needed.
Everything I dreamt of.
But up until today,
I realized I had collected all
but one piece.
The most vital piece.
The piece that completes the picture.
The piece that completes my whole life.
I held this girl in my arms
She wrapped her tiny fingers around mine.
It was then that I realized
She was the fusion.
The glue.
The cement that bound all my pieces
together.
The piece that seals my puzzle.
The piece that completes my life.
The element that makes me who I am.
Who I was.
Who I’ll one day be.
You, baby girl.
You’re my final piece.”

“I wish I could explain how I feel, but nothing can explain this moment. Not a vase of stars. Not a book. Not a song. Not even a poem. Nothing can explain the moment when the woman you would give your life for sees her daughter for the very first time.”

“It's not your bra. It's our bra and I want it off." I slip it off her, pulling her against me as I rub my hands down the length of her back, then around to the button on the front of her jeans. "And I want to take off our pants."

She grins against my lips and slowly nods. "Okay, but hurry," she whispers.

"I can be quick," I assure her. "But I'll never hurry.”

This poem is very long
So long, in fact, that your attention span
May be stretched to its very limits
But that’s okay
It’s what’s so special about poetry
See, poetry takes time
We live in a time
Call it our culture or society
It doesn’t matter to me cause neither one rhymes
A time where most people don’t want to listen
Our throats wait like matchsticks waiting to catch fire
Waiting until we can speak
No patience to listen

But this poem is long
It’s so long, in fact, that during the time of this poem
You could’ve done any number of other wonderful things
You could’ve called your father
Call your father
You could be writing a postcard right now
Write a postcard
When was the last time you wrote a postcard?
You could be outside
You’re probably not too far away from a sunrise or a sunset
Watch the sun rise
Maybe you could’ve written your own poem
A better poem
You could have played a tune or sung a song
You could have met your neighbor
And memorized their name
Memorize the name of your neighbor
You could’ve drawn a picture
(Or, at least, colored one in)
You could’ve started a book
Or finished a prayer
You could’ve talked to God
Pray
When was the last time you prayed?
Really prayed?

This is a long poem
So long, in fact, that you’ve already spent a minute with it
When was the last time you hugged a friend for a minute?
Or told them that you love them?
Tell your friends you love them

…no, I mean it, tell them

Say, I love you

Say, you make life worth living
Because that, is what friends do
Of all of the wonderful things that you could’ve done
During this very, very long poem
You could have connected
Maybe you are connecting
Maybe we’re connecting
See, I believe that the only things that really matter
In the grand scheme of life are God and people
And if people are made in the image of God
Then when you spend your time with people
It’s never wasted
And in this very long poem
I’m trying to let a poem do what a poem does:
Make things simpler
We don’t need poems to make things more complicated
We have each other for that
We need poems to remind ourselves of the things that really matter
To take time
A long time
To be alive for the sake of someone else for a single moment
Or for many moments

Cause we need each other

To hold the hands of a broken person
All you have to do is meet a person
Shake their hand
Look in their eyes

They are you

We are all broken together
But these shattered pieces of our existence don’t have to be a mess
We just have to care enough to hold our tongues sometimes
To sit and listen to a very long poem
A story of a life
The joy of a friend and the grief of friend
To hold and be held
And be quiet

So, pray
Write a postcard
Call your parents and forgive them and then thank them
Turn off the TV
Create art as best as you can
Share as much as possible, especially money
Tell someone about a very long poem you once heard
And how afterward it brought you to them”

Oh my God!" Julia yells. "Are you kidding me, Will? Don't help her put her clothes back on! I'm standing right here!"

What the hell am I thinking?”

 This  review  Contains   Spoilers !

Review- The second and last book made me laugh and cry at the same time I loved seeing Andrew and Camryn engaged happy and Camryn pregnant . Everything was going so well they are having a girl they are living in Galveston but Camryn isn't happy there so they are heading back to Camryns home and they are going to look for a place to live . They have a kind of baby shower and Camryn is having pains and I felt like something bad is going to happen I just knew it and it did she lost the baby. I cried for her and Andrew is vey gental with her and Camryn doesn't like that and then Camryn starts using pills and they go visit Adain and Michelle and it looks like Adain and Michelle are having problems all they do is work which kind of sucks . But Camryn and Andrew play at Adians bar they have a great time and then Andrew find out about the pills and then Andrew gets Asher to drive Andrew's car down so they can go on there roadtrip which Camryn was reluctant of because of loosing Lilly but they go and it was some time. There was a crazy time like a really fucked up crazy . They go from winter through summer florida was a fucked up place they party with some people and it was fine and then they get drugged and some weird ass things go down like sexual things. And the next morning Andrew punches the hell out of people and they deserve it the only two normal people were the ones that helped them they leave Florida . But Andrew is still mad at himself cause he was sapose to protect Camryn he punches a tree. They head to new Orleans where everything started between them they go to the bar where they played Barton hall where they find out eddie died sad and they go to the bar where they played pool it was so great to relive some of those memories . They headed to Galveston to visit his mom and they get married eeek they head back to camryns home they find a place and it's a small cute place Andrew gets headache's again and I'm worried as much as Camryn so they go to the doctor and everything is okay but he still needs to be checked up on and it was an amazing book I loved every bit of it . I loved seeing flashbacks from the first book so cute . Camryn and Andrew finally had there baby they named her Lilly everything is great I loved how it ended with Lily at graduation that was so cool . This story was amazing these two books are with me forever .

Quotes-
I really do forget about everything . Because that's what a moment like this does to you. It makes you feel something so small inside of something so massive that it's beyond comprehension . It strips away all of your problems , all of your hardships , all of your worldly needs and wants and desires , forcing you to realize just how insignificant all of it really is . It's like the Earth becomes completely silent and still, and all that your mind can understand or feel is the vastness of the universe and you gasp thinking about your place within it .
Who needs psychiatrists ? Who needs grief counselors and life coaches and motivational speakers ? Fuck all of that . just stare at the night sky and let yourself get lost in it every now and then.
page 277

“Our story is over, yes, but our journey isn't, because we'll always live on the edge until the day we die.”

I guess sometimes the greatest memories are made in the most unlikely of places, further proof that spontaneity is more rewarding than a meticulously planned life.

You're like a philosopher with tattoos.”

“Dear Camryn,
I know you're scared. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little scared, too, but I have to believe that this time around everything will be fine. And it will be.
We've been through so much together. More than most people in such a short time. But no matter what, the one thing that has never changed is that we're still together. Death couldn't take me away from you. Weakness couldn't make me look at you in a bad light. Drugs and all the shit that comes with them couldn't take you away from me. I think it's more safe to say that we're indestructable.
Maybe all of this has been a test. Yeah, I think about that a lot and I've convinced myself of it. A lot of people take Fate for granted. Some have everything they've ever wanted right at their fingertips, but they abuse it. Others walk right past their only opportunity because they never open their eyes long enough to see that it's there. But you and I, even before we met, took all the risks, made our own decisions without listening to everybody around us telling us, in so many ways, that what we're doing is wrong. Hell no, we did it our way, no matter how reckless, or crazy or unconventional. It's like the more we pushed and the more we fought, the harder the obstacles. Because we had to prove we were the real deal.
And I know we've done just that.
Camryn, I want you to read this letter to yourself once a week. It doesn't matter what day or what time, just read it. Every time you open it, I want you to see that another week has passed and you're still pregnant. That I'm still in good health. That we're still together. I want you to think about the three of us, you, me and our son or daughter, traveling Europe and Soth America. Because we're going to do it. I promise you that.
You're everything to me, and I want you to stay strong and not let your fear of the past taint the path to our future. Everything will work out this time, Camryn, everything will, I swear to you.
Just trust me.
Until next week...
Love,
Andrew”

“Today is the first day of the rest of our lives. It’s a special day, for Lily, for us, for everything the three of us stand for. Our story is over, yes, but our journey isn’t, because we’ll always live on the edge until the day we die.”

“For anyone who has ever had a moment of weakness. It won’t be painful forever, so don’t let it get the best of you.”

“I just became Camryn Parrish

So after at bad night at a club where mostly Camry's best friend's boyfriend tries to force himself on her and when Camryn tries to tell Natalie she doesn't believe her so Camryn just gets on a bus and goes . And then this is where me meet Andrew Parish who is my new book boyfriend like oh my god this guy is amazing he sings he has tattoos he plays guitar and abs hahah . Now Andrew is on the bus to see his dying father but when Camryn tells Andrew to lower is his music sparks right away I wanted them to be together I liked them when they were just friends Andrew is so protective of Camryn . They spend all this bus ride getting to know each other but without really giving out anything personal .until Andrew's last ride where I was really sad I was like how are they going to be together now and then this creep in the bathroom almost rapes Camryn and she has a knife and I'm freaking out and then Andrew shows up and beats the crap out of this guy . And then Camryn tells Andrew the truth So Camryn and Andrew go visit his dad which I don't think Andrew could handle then we meet his brothers I kind of found it funny that all of them start with an A Adian Andrew and Asher and Andrew's father asks if she's his Eurydice which is a Greek myth and Andrew has the tattoo and it stops at one place he says if he ever gets married he wants the other half I thought that was adorable so him .Aand Cameryn hit the road and Andrew wants Cameryn to live to really experience life . There were allot of messages in this book that I loved I just want everyone to read this . There were some sexy times in this book and I thought they were nice but Andrew refused to sleep with Cameryn for stupid reason . And Cameryn told Andrew that she doesn't think she really loved Ian that there is a difference with love and being in love and that when she's with him she doesn't think about him anymore and she thanked him for feeling alive for the first time. Yeah this book tore my heart apart but it did make me laugh at times. when Andrew's father died I was sobbing cause they were crying and Andrew wants to leave Cameryn and I'm like Andrew just stop NO WAY he writes her a letter but she's there and he yells at her just tell me how you feel and she did and it was beautiful and then they sleep together . They also preform at bars and it was amazing now when they get to Texas Cameryn is worried that this will be the end but Andrew wants to travel the world together . He introduces her to his mom so sweet and then we find out he has a brain tumor and i'm like NO NO NO he can't die and I'm sobbing and cameryn doesn't know . And then he has a seizure and I'm like oh crap no no no he goes the the hospitable and Asher is there and tells Cameryn about the tumor and he says it doesn't look good and then she calls Natalile to come and she does and he gets the surgery but he falls into a coma and he might not come out and I'm sobbing again and then his mom gives camryn this letter . And it broke me and then it goes to two months later and I was so worried cause she was at a grave but Andrew is okay and she got the tattoo to match his and she's pregnant and he asked her to marry him and oh my god this is amazing this is one of my favorite books ever I'm onto the last one now .
Quotes-
I learned a long time ago that it's my future and my life and I can't make myself live the way someone else wants me to live . page 70

Just that dwelling and is bullshit he says . You dwell on the past , you can't move forward . Spend too much time planning for the future and you just push yourself backwards , or you can stay stagnant in the same place all your life . His eyes lock on mine live in the moment he says as if making a serious point , where everything is just right , take your time and limit your bad memories and you'll get wherever it is your going a lot faster and with less bumps in the road along the way. page 90

“I know you lost your partner in crime, but...I want YOU to be MINE. Maybe WE should travel the world together, Camryn...I know I can't replace your ex--"
"Andrew...it was always you.”

He's gawking at me when I open the door.
Damn girl he says looking me over , what the hell are you trying to do to me ? I look down at myself , still trying to wake up the rest of the way and realize I'm in those tiny cotton white shirts and varsity tee with no bra on underneath. Oh my god , my nipples are like beacons shining through my shirt! I cross my arms over my chest and try not to look him in the eyes when he helps himself the rest of the way inside. I was going to tell you go get dressed , he goes on grinning as he walks into the room carrying his bags and the guitar, but really , you can just go like that if you want . I shake my head , hiding the smile creeping up on my face .

Uh , there is no way -. I notice his grin has changed into something more 'crafty school boy ' and I look down , realizing my arms are no longer covering my nipples poking so proudly through the thin fabric of my shirt . I let out a spat of air and my mouth falls open . Andrew!
He lowers his head with false shame , but it just makes him appear more devious the way he looks back up under hooded eyes at me .
He is so fucking hot...
Hey you're the one who'd rather complain about the ground rules than protect your girls from my eyes- I should warn you they have a mind of their own .
Yeah I bet they aren't the only things on you with a mind of their own.
Page 167
“The Heart always wins out over the mind, The heart, although reckless and suicidal and masochist all on its own, always gets it way. The mind may be what's best, but I don't give a shit what my mind is telling me anymore. Right now, I want to live in the moment.”

“Y’know, I've always hated that expression: Others have it worse than you do; I guess if you want to look at it in a competitive way, sure, give me welfare over blindness any day, but it’s not a fucking competition. Right?”
Is he asking me because he wants to know how I feel, or was that his way of telling me how it is
and hoping I get it?
I just nod.
“Pain is pain, babe.” Every time he calls me ‘babe’ I notice it more than anything else he says.
