The Body Finder (The Body Finder, #1)The Body Finder by Kimberly Derting
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

September 6 -September 30
Summary - Violet Ambrose is grappling with two major issues: Jay Heaton and her morbid secret ability. While the sixteen-year-old is confused by her new feelings for her best friend since childhood, she is more disturbed by her "power" to sense dead bodies—or at least those that have been murdered. Since she was a little girl, she has felt the echoes that the dead leave behind in the world... and the imprints that attach to their killers.

Violet has never considered her strange talent to be a gift; it mostly just led her to find the dead birds her cat had tired of playing with. But now that a serial killer has begun terrorizing her small town, and the echoes of the local girls he's claimed haunt her daily, she realizes she might be the only person who can stop him.

Despite his fierce protectiveness over her, Jay reluctantly agrees to help Violet on her quest to find the murderer—and Violet is unnerved to find herself hoping that Jay's intentions are much more than friendly. But even as she's falling intensely in love, Violet is getting closer and closer to discovering a killer... and becoming his prey herself.

Review - Violet has this gift she can find dead bodies she gets a feeling it could be a taste or a smell she got the gift from her grandmother and the people who kill have that Ecco on them when violet was eight she found a dead body years later she is living with this secret the only people who know are her mom dad aunt and uncle and her best friend Jay who she now has feelings for he sort of changed from they guy she's known for years he's starting change into a guy and the girls at school are starting to notice also . When celebrating the last day of summer Jay Chelsea And violet go to the lake and while Jay and violet are out on the lake violet sense's something a dead girl violet freaked she was unsettled cause the only way for violet to be okay after is for the body to be buried . There is a dance coming up and violet really wants Jay to ask her but Grady asks her and Jay is going with Lissie a popular girl . More girls are going missing and being killed so violet decides she wants to find this killer and asks Jay to come with her and he does even though he doesn't agree with it when they go to the mall she senses something but it was nothing Jay freaks and avoids her but Grady starts giving her more than friendly attention and violet and her friends all go to a party Grady ends up assaulting Violet Jay steps in and takes violet home or tries to violet was pissed Jay had been avoiding her but she ends up letting him and he kisses her and there they cross the line from friend to more and then another girl goes missing a girl from the party so violet joins the search party and finds him the guy killing and she is so happy that he is going to be rotting in jail her Jay are officially dating and there going to the dance together violet thinks that she is safe so she goes for a run until she sense's someone fallowing her no not fallowing hunting her the killer the other guy was the partner but Jay finds her before he does so Jay and violet go to the dance and then he's there the killer and he's a cop that is sick and he almost kills violet and Jay finds them violet hits the guy with her crutch and they run but the guy shoots Jay but just barley grazes him and her uncle kills the guy this book was crazy with romance and mystery and seeing the point of view of the killer was interesting and creepy loved it .

Favorite quotes -
Jay decided that it was his turn to gloat . You pined for me he asked stupid grin and all. Violet hit him on the arm shut up ! She shook her head I'm pretty sure she was talking about you anyway.

“I was just waiting for you to want me as much as I wanted you.” His words were quiet but carried one hell of an impact. “I knew we were going to be together; it was just a matter of time. I kept hoping that you would figure it out. But for a smart girl, you’re a little dense, Vi. I kept bringing up Lissie Adams, and showing you the notes she was leaving me, hoping that you’d get pissed enough to finally admit how you felt about me.”
―The Body Finder

“He loved her.
Jay Heaton, her best friend since childhood was in love with her. He didn't say it but she knew that it was true.
And the part that really freaked her out, the part that caught her completely off guard, is that he wasn't alone. Because even though she'd been denying it for a long, long time, it had always been there... waiting beneath the surface of their friendship. And now that it was out there was no going back.
And it was so weird to even be thinking it but...... she was in love with him too.”

Book Review - Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell

FangirlFangirl by Rainbow Rowell
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Read  from  Sep  22-  25

Summary  - Rainbow Rowell's Fangirl, Cath is a Simon Snow fan. Okay, the whole world is a Simon Snow fan, but for Cath, being a fan is her life—and she’s really good at it. She and her twin sister, Wren, ensconced themselves in the Simon Snow series when they were just kids; it’s what got them through their mother leaving.

Reading. Rereading. Hanging out in Simon Snow forums, writing Simon Snow fan fiction, dressing up like the characters for every movie premiere.

Cath’s sister has mostly grown away from fandom, but Cath can’t let go. She doesn’t want to.
Now that they’re going to college, Wren has told Cath she doesn’t want to be roommates. Cath is on her own, completely outside of her comfort zone. She’s got a surly roommate with a charming, always-around boyfriend, a fiction-writing professor who thinks fan fiction is the end of the civilized world, a handsome classmate who only wants to talk about words . . . And she can’t stop worrying about her dad, who’s loving and fragile and has never really been alone.

For Cath, the question is: Can she do this? Can she make it without Wren holding her hand? Is she ready to start living her own life? And does she even want to move on if it means leaving Simon Snow behind?

Review-    This   Book  Is  about  Cath   she  is  obsessed  with  Simon  Snow   she  writes  Fanfiction   since  forever it's all she  knows now  she  is  going to college   with her  twin sister   and her sister  wants to not  room  with her and Cath is  mad  when  she  get there  she meets her roommate Reagan    she  is  kind of  sour  and moody  and  Levi  he's  very  smiley   and  happy  and bubbly      .  Cath  is  Taking  creative  writing and   is  an  english  major     (like  me  )   and  She  meets  Nick    and  she  and  him  are  writing   together   and  she  thinks  that  she  likes him   I  really   see  Cath in  me   like  the  awkwardness  and   the  writing  and  being so into a  fandom  that it's like  a part of  you    .  Cath and  Nick  start  going to the  library to  write  and  Levi  picks her up every time   how  sweet  and Cath reads   Levi  her  fanfiction that was so  cute  and   then  she helps him  study and they end up falling asleep  together   and kissing    and  then  Regan  comes   in   and  she  also explains  that  her and Levi aren't dating  she and  Levi have  been  broken  up for awhile  .  Levi  texts  Cath to come to  his party she  doesn't  text  back    after allot of thinking she  goes with Regan    and when  she gets there   She  see's  Levi  kissing some  girl  and  she storms  out she doesn't want to ever think about that again  she avoids  Levi  until she gets a  call that her  dad is in  the  hospital  and  she  tries to get her sister to go with her  but  Wren  is  to wrapped in her  life  drinking  her mom  back into her  life  and doesn't  come  she  reluctley  calls  Levi     and asks him to drive  her and  he  does  and when they get  there  he asks  why she is  avoiding him  and  she tells  him and  he  also  tells her that the kiss didn't  mean  anything  like  WTF Levi  I love  you but  what are you thinking  you   like  Cath    and  then  she tells  him to leave  and to leave her alone  and  after time  and allot of writing  Simon Snow  .  Nick also  wants to submit the  story  that her  and  he  worked on  and she gets  no credit  what an ass  .  so Levi  comes to her door  and tells her  how  he feels   and they start  dating   and  Oh my  god  Cath  and Levi  are  adorable together  she  doesn't really want him  touching  her  but when she  does  she can't stop that's what made me  laugh  and  Wren  is  in  the  Hospital   for  drinking to  much    and  her mom is  there  Cath hasn't seen her mom  since  she left and she doesn't even want to see  Wren when  they  can  that is  kind of messed  up   .   So  apparently   Wren  has  a  boyfriend it was the  guy  who threw the  punch at  the  bar that time    ( I like them together )  Wren and  Cath  make  up  .  Levi  and  Cath  are good together  they're  happy   oh  and  Nick  has  the guts to come  to Cath and  say well I need you to put  your  name on the  story  so  I can  win and she doesn't  I was like you go  Cath  .  and in  the end  when the last Simon Snow  book  comes  out  her and Levi  read together  this book was amazing I loved it I would of  loved more and to  know  where her and Levi  end  up  but we can  figure that out ourselves.

And  we  stay  by  Jenny  hubbard
Summary  -  When high school senior Paul Wagoner walks into his school library with a stolen gun, he threatens his girlfriend Emily Beam, then takes his own life. In the wake of the tragedy, an angry and guilt-ridden Emily is shipped off to boarding school in Amherst, Massachusetts, where she encounters a ghostly presence who shares her name. The spirit of Emily Dickinson and two quirky girls offer helping hands, but it is up to Emily to heal her own damaged self.

This inventive story, told in verse and in prose, paints the aftermath of tragedy as a landscape where there is good behind the bad, hope inside the despair, and springtime under the snow.

Book review - onyx jennifer L armentrout

Onyx (Lux, #2)Onyx by Jennifer L. Armentrout
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Aug 3 - September 17
Summary - Being connected to Daemon Black sucks…

Thanks to his alien mojo, Daemon’s determined to prove what he feels for me is more than a product of our bizarro connection. So I’ve sworn him off, even though he’s running more hot than cold these days. But we’ve got bigger problems.

Something worse than the Arum has come to town…

The Department of Defense are here. If they ever find out what Daemon can do and that we're linked, I’m a goner. So is he. And there's this new boy in school who’s got a secret of his own. He knows what’s happened to me and he can help, but to do so, I have to lie to Daemon and stay away from him. Like that's possible. Against all common sense, I'm falling for Daemon. Hard.

But then everything changes…

I’ve seen someone who shouldn’t be alive. And I have to tell Daemon, even though I know he’s never going to stop searching until he gets the truth. What happened to his brother? Who betrayed him? And what does the DOD want from them—from me?

No one is who they seem. And not everyone will survive the lies…

Review - I read the first one in April and fell in love with daemon and the concept of aliens made of light .this book was amazing Daemon and Katy are connected and Daemon wants to be with Katy but Katy thinks its only cause of the connection. but there is a new guy in town his name is Blake him and Katy get along well and we learn some things about him Also we find out Blake isn't what we think oh and Katy is mutated because daemon healed her and Blake is just like Katy . Blake starts to train Katy to use her abilities daemon doesn't trust Blake things they discovered like Dawson daemons brother is alive and so is Beth and Beth is kind of crazy .Katy mom's boyfriend is also Beth's uncle WTF . and blake went crazy and handed simon over to the DOD what thats kind of crazy dee and adam came to pick up katy and well Adam died I was so sad i liked adam and dee together . After that katy and daemon finally get together i was happy but sad about Adam . will drugged Katy and put her In a cage he wants to be mutated to and so daemon kind of heals him and then Katy and daemon leave to find Dawson .but he isn't there but when they get back he's there at the house I was like WTF OMG I can't wait to read the next one .
