Book review : Playing for keeps by J.C Grant * Spoilers*

Playing For KeepsPlaying For Keeps by J.C. Grant
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

September 23-October 13

WARNING: THIS IS AN EROTIC NOVEL. If you do NOT like dominant, possessive, very Alpha-males, Playing For Keeps is not for you.

Living in LA and dating celebrities wasn't what it was cracked up to be. I found out the hard way many had a lifestyle I wanted no part of.

Then David Taylor forced his way into my life. A sledge hammer breaking down my well crafted walls.

He was gorgeous and sexy and intimidating. I was drawn to him in a way I had never been to anyone or anything. And I knew I couldn't have him, I was too damaged, too flawed to really connect.

David saw what I was from the beginning. A broken scared girl locked away inside an aloof woman. And he was determined to free me. To make me his.

Review- I loved this book it is an erotic novel so be warned when you read it Austin meets David at the grocery store he becomes obsessed with her and ends up tracking her down they end up hooking up at the club. They both have been through allot of shit and I love them together then we find out David was a famous baseball player and Austin has a rule about them but then David takes her out on a date and I love them they are both so insecure but they find a way to be together . He asks Austin to move in together for two weeks and they do and they end up having crazy sex many times like wow ;) but it was so romantic and intimate . David is a little crazy sometimes he ends up looking through her phone many times which was a little odd we find out Austin was raped as a kid and oh my god . But the ending was one of my favorite parts they officially move in together Austin loves David so much and he asks her to marry him and she at first thinks its crazy but then says yes I loved this book .
Quotes-I tried to take it slow, give you time to wrap your head around this. But I'm done playing nice... I’m taking what I want. I'm taking what's mine,” he growled harshly behind my ear

You're mine to take care of. To make sure you feel safe and secure. To make sure you're happy, and I take it fucking seriously.”

Book review : The chasers of the light by Tyler Knott Gregson

Chasers of the Light: Poems from the Typewriter SeriesChasers of the Light: Poems from the Typewriter Series by Tyler Knott Gregson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

October 10-10
The epic made simple. The miracle in the mundane.

One day, while browsing an antique store in Helena, Montana, photographer Tyler Knott Gregson stumbled upon a vintage Remington typewriter for sale. Standing up and using a page from a broken book he was buying for $2, he typed a poem without thinking, without planning, and without the ability to revise anything.

He fell in love.

Three years and almost one thousand poems later, Tyler is now known as the creator of the Typewriter Series: a striking collection of poems typed onto found scraps of paper or created via blackout method. Chasers of the Light features some of his most insightful and beautifully worded pieces of work—poems that illuminate grand gestures and small glimpses, poems that celebrate the beauty of a life spent chasing the light

Review - This poetry is amazing I love the format and the poems are gorgeous go read this book I connected with allot of the poem .

quotes-

Sometimes you look up and there just seems to be so many more stars that ever before. More. They burn brighter and they shine longer and they never vanish into your periphery when you turn your head. It's as if they come out for us and to remind us that their light took so long to come to us, that if we never had the patience to wait, we never would have seen them here, tonight, like this.

That as much as it hurts, sometimes it's all you can do, wait, endure and keep shining, knowing that eventually, your light will reach where it is supposed to reach and shine for who it is supposed to shine for.

It is never easy, but it is always worth it.”

You
are the poem
I never knew
how to write
and this life
is the story
I have always
wanted
to tell.”

Waiting Wednesday

David Taylor is the most possessive, dominant, alpha male I have ever met. Technically he's a stalker. He is bossy, needy, nasty, and so very sweet. He is everything I need him to be. I love him so much it scares me.

Austin James is mine.
Mine to take care of.
Mine to spoil.
MINE.
The first time I saw her, I knew she was MINE.
I saw a reflection of myself in her.
Broken. Damaged. Guarded.
I can't explain the depth of my feelings or why it happened so fast.
I just know she's mine and I'll do anything to keep her

I  just  finished   playing for keeps and  I can't wait to read  this one    there is no date yet  but  I'm waiting

Book review : Cupcakes and Ink by Helena Hunting *Spoilers*

Cupcakes and Ink (Clipped Wings, #0.5)Cupcakes and Ink by Helena Hunting

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

 October 1-9

Tenley Page is looking for a new start: a new city, a new apartment, a new life. Her plan is to keep to herself and stay focused. But leaving her past behind and starting over isn’t as easy as she thought. And neither is maintaining her solitude. As Tenley settles into her new surroundings, she finds herself drawn to Inked Armor, the tattoo studio across the street. But it’s the gorgeous, dark-haired tattoo artist who captures her interest. There’s something about his severe beauty that captivates her—and not just in her waking hours.

Covered in the ink he inscribes on other people’s skin, Hayden Stryker has made a career out of being a tattooist. He’s got his own business and a tight circle of friends. As far as he’s concerned, that’s all he needs. At least until his aunt, who owns the antiques and used book store across from his tattoo studio, hires a new employee. At first his intrigue is based on physical appeal; hot chick equals something nice to look at. But as he begins to catch glimpses of the fiery personality under the fragile, feminine exterior, his fascination with Tenley grows. Annoyed by his inability to control his fixation, Hayden decides the best way to cure him of the new obsession is to get to know the girl under her skittish façade.

But like the ink he wears as armor, Tenley has the ability to get under his skin and stay there.

Review- I loved this novella I can't wait to read clipped wings still waiting for it to come in the mail but I love this story so far Hayden I'm in love with him so far he's a pierced tatoo artist dream book boyfriend I can tell he's been through allot and so has Tenley she's kind of obsessed with him she lives across the street from the tattoo parlor and she ends up getting a job and he comes in there allot she's kind of skittish with him around . And he's interested in her he can't stop thinking of her they both end up looking at each other from each place which was both creepy and funny I need to know more loved it .

Favorite Quotes- One tattoo artist piqued my interest more than the others . Tall and broad , with dark hair , his extensive ink captured my attention as did his facial piercings .

Oh god , I was having sex dreams about her nephew . How much more embarrassed could I be ?

Inside the albums were snapshots of my life and all the people who had passed through it .

I could smell her perfume , or body lotion , or whatever she wore that made her smell so good. Like cupcakes . which I loved .

For the first time in years , I wanted .... something. Anything . As long it was real.
