Waiting Wednesday

Summary  -In this dazzling debut novel, a pregnant teen learns the meaning of friendship—from the boy who pretends to be her baby’s father.

When the entire high school finds out that Hannah Shepard is pregnant via her ex-best friend, she has a full-on meltdown in her backyard. The one witness (besides the rest of the world): Aaron Tyler, a transfer student and the only boy who doesn’t seem to want to get into Hannah’s pants. Confused and scared, Hannah needs someone to be on her side. Wishing to make up for his own past mistakes, Aaron does the unthinkable and offers to pretend to be the father of Hannah’s unborn baby. Even more unbelievable, Hannah hears herself saying “yes.”

Told in alternating perspectives between Hannah and Aaron, Trouble is the story of two teenagers helping each other to move forward in the wake of tragedy and devastating choices. As you read about their year of loss, regret, and hope, you’ll remember your first, real best friend—and how they were like a first love.

Book review- Daughter of smoke and bone by Lanie taylor

Daughter of Smoke & Bone (Daughter of Smoke & Bone, #1)Daughter of Smoke & Bone by Laini Taylor
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
April  8-  May  23

Summary  -Around the world, black handprints are appearing on doorways, scorched there by winged strangers who have crept through a slit in the sky.

In a dark and dusty shop, a devil’s supply of human teeth grown dangerously low.

And in the tangled lanes of Prague, a young art student is about to be caught up in a brutal otherwordly war.

Meet Karou. She fills her sketchbooks with monsters that may or may not be real, she’s prone to disappearing on mysterious "errands", she speaks many languages - not all of them human - and her bright blue hair actually grows out of her head that color. Who is she? That is the question that haunts her, and she’s about to find out.

When beautiful, haunted Akiva fixes fiery eyes on her in an alley in Marrakesh, the result is blood and starlight, secrets unveiled, and a star-crossed love whose roots drink deep of a violent past. But will Karou live to regret learning the truth about herself?

Review -  Karou   lives  two lives  she's  a  teenager   that  lives in  Prague  and has  sketchbooks  filled  with different  creatures and  the other life   where those monsters  are  actually  real  she  is the  errand  girl  to  the   chimera  a  man  monster  named   Brimstone  and  it  involves  teeth  Brimstone  has  teeth  Karou  doesn't know  what is  with the teeth and where  the shop  really  is    he  says it  is in  Elsewhere  .  other  characters  that  I loved  are zuzana   is  karou's  best friend  .   then  we  meet  Ackiva   who  is  an  angel  with  vengeance  for  the  chimera   he  and the rest of the angels  are putting  black  handprints  on   portals   when  Ackiva   and  Kauro  meet    he tries to  kill her   and then stops    Karou  gets  away  and  gets  back to the portal  she  sees the   door   that  has always  been  closed   open  and goes  in    and brimstone  is  there    and this  other  creatures    he  throws  her out  goes  home   and  she tells  zuzanna  and  she  believes her  when kishmish  is  flying dead into her  hands   and  the portal  is gone.   ackiva   wants to  know  who  Karou  is    and  when he  finds her  Karou    bares  her  hamsas   and hurts him   they  go to talking   and then  something  happens   she  starts  to  feel  for him   and when he  notices   her    wishbone  necklace   and  he  says  he  knows  who  she  is   then his  angel  family  appears   he  tells her to  run  and  ackiva  tells  them    that  he  fell  for  a chimera  and  they  left  .  before  I get  into something  big  that  I was  not  expecting  I want to talk about the  wishes   so  the  wishes comes from  pain   scuppies  are  not that bad  but  bigger   it's  worse     and  Brimstone  said  hope  is  bigger than wishes  .  so   when they  break  the  wishbone  it goes back  to  madrill  I  knew of  her  because   she was  akiva's  love  and she died  but this was  like the biggest thing I liked hearing all the stuff but  when   Mad is  sentenced  to death  for  being an angel lover   that's when resurrection  comes into  play  so apparently  when you die  you can  take the soul and put it in  another body   and that's what happened  to  hide  Mad from thiago  the white  wolf    Brimstone put her as Karou  WHAT! I didn't see that coming and the ending   there all dead  I loved this book  so  much  I recommend  it  .

It's  a  wishbone  ,  she  told  him  ,  holding it out  .  you  hook  your   finger  around  the  spur  ,   like  this  ,   and we  each  make  a  wish   and pull.   whoever gets  the  bigger  piece  gets  their  wish. Magic  ?   akiva  had  asked  .  what   bird  does  this  come from   that it's bones  are  magic  .  oh  it's not  magic   .  The  wishes  don't really  come   true    then  why do it  ?   she  shrugged  . Book review - Reasonable Doubt volume 1 by whitney gracia williams

Reasonable Doubt: Volume 1 (Reasonable Doubt, #1)Reasonable Doubt: Volume 1 by Whitney Gracia Williams
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Read  may  15-may 15
Summary  -My cock has an appetite.

A huge and very particular appetite: Blonde, curvy, and preferably not a fucking liar... (Although, that's a story for another day.)

As a high profile lawyer, I don't have time to waste on relationships, so I fulfill my needs by anonymously chatting and sleeping with women I meet online.

My rules are simple: One dinner. One night. No repeats.

This is only casual sex. Nothing more. Nothing less.

At least it was , until "Alyssa"...

She was supposed to be a 27 year old lawyer, a book hoarder, and completely unattractive. She was supposed to be someone I shared law advice with late at night, someone I could trust with details of my weekly escapades.

But then she came into my firm for an interview—a college-intern interview, and everything fucking changed..

Cricket Thompson's lifetime of overachieving has paid off: she's headed to Brown University in the fall, with a spot on the lacrosse team and a scholarship that covers almost everything. Who knew living in the dorm cost money? An Ivy League education seems to mean living at home for the next four years.

When Cricket is offered the chance to earn enough cash to afford a real college experience, she heads back to Nantucket for the summer. But the faraway island challenges Cricket in ways she hadn't anticipated. It's hard to focus on earning money for next year, when she finds her world opening up in entirely new ways-to art, to travel, and, most unexpectedly, to a future completely different from the one she has been working toward her whole life. A friendship blossoms with Ben, the gorgeous surfer and bartender who encourages Cricket to be free, even as she smarts at the pain of seeing Zack, her first love, falling for her worst enemy.

But one night, when Cricket finally lets herself break all her own rules, she realizes she may have ruined her carefully constructed future with one impulsive decision. Cricket must dig deep to fight for her future, discovering that success isn't just about reaching goals, but also about listening to what she's been trying to ignore-her own heart

Book review - Losing it Cora Carmack

Losing It (Losing It, #1)Losing It by Cora Carmack
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

read from  May  4-  May  13

Summary  -Sick of being the only virgin among her friends, Bliss Edwards decides the best way to deal with the problem is to lose it as quickly and simply as possible - a one-night stand. But her plan turns out to be anything but simple when she freaks out and leaves a gorgeous guy alone and naked in her bed with an excuse that no one with half-a-brain would ever believe. And as if that weren't embarrassing enough, when she arrives for her first class of her last college semester, she recognizes her new theatre professor. She'd left him naked in her bed about 8 hours earlier.

Book review- Sea of monsters by Rick Riordan

The Sea of Monsters (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #2)The Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

april  23-  may  7

Summary -The heroic son of Poseidon makes an action-packed comeback in the second must-read installment of Rick Riordan's amazing young readers series. Starring Percy Jackson, a "half blood" whose mother is human and whose father is the God of the Sea, Riordan's series combines cliffhanger adventure and Greek mythology lessons that results in true page-turners that get better with each installment. In this episode, The Sea of Monsters, Percy sets out to retrieve the Golden Fleece before his summer camp is destroyed, surpassing the first book's drama and setting the stage for more thrills to come

This  Review  Contains  Spoilers   You  Are  Warned

Review-    The  second  book in  the  percy  jackson  series was  awesome   ,  Percy  has  this  dream  about  grover   in  trouble   and  then his mom   told   him  that   he  shouldn't go  back to camp  because it's  dangerous  .  He  and  his  friend  tyson   are  attacked  at school   and  Annabeth comes   and they head  back to  camp and find  that   thalia  tree has  been  poisoned    and  chiron  has  been  fired  and  this  new   director   has been  hired  he's  intersting   oh and  tyson  is  a  cyclops and  he's  percy's  brother  wtf  . so after being  attacked  again they  sneak out of camp   to rescue  grover  and  get the flease  for  thalia's  tree  .  They  find  flease   and  a  cyclops   that  apparently   grover  might be  getting married  to he's been  pretending  to be  a  woman  cyclops  so  the  cyclops  doesn't kill  him  oh  and clarise   is  there  saying  he's  a  sater  omg   shut  up  annabeth  gets   hurt  and the flease  works  oh and  tyson  is there with rainbow   they put  the  flease  on   thalia  tree  and it works  a little  to well .
I loved this  one  so much  .

favorite  quotes -  Annabeth:My fatal flaw. That's what the Sirens showed me. My fatal flaw is hubris.
Percy: the brown stuff they spread on veggie sandwiches?
Annabeth:No, Seaweed Brain. That's HUMMUS. hubris is worse.
Percy: what could be worse than hummus?
Annabeth: Hubris means deadly pride, Percy. Thinking you can do things better than anyone else... Even the gods.

The attraction between them was undeniable. Yet the past he’d worked so hard to overcome, and the future she’d put so much faith in, threatened to tear them apart.

Only together could they fight the pain and guilt, face the truth—and find the unexpected power of love.

A groundbreaking novel in the New Adult genre, Easy faces one girl's struggle to regain the trust she's lost, find the inner strength to fight back against an attacker, and accept the peace she finds in the arms of a secretive boy

Review - on the night of a halloween party Jacqueline was almost raped she tried to get away but then a mystery boy (Lucas) shows up and beats the crap out of Buck what I didn't get is why Jacqueline didn't report it , It made me more angry she didn't but she was just traumatized so she went home and then there comes some rumors that she hooked up with Buck the guy that almost raped her which made her even more angry then Lucas stared showing up everywhere her class starbucks after being dumped by Kenedy who I hate I just do she sits next to Benji who I love Jacqueline and Lucas relationship is weird they flirt and he ask to draw her which is total romantic she is also being tutored by Landon now when I started this book I'm like Landon , Lucas who do I like more there the same person Landon is lucas first name he goes by Lucas and Lucas lost his mother his mother was raped and murdered and he was in the same room as her that is so traumatic for someone to go through . When Jacquline finally told erin I was so happy cause she thought that erin wouldn't believe her . And then something terrible happens Buck raped another girl I was so angry at this point and then Kennedy and some other frat assholes tried to get this girl to not tell I was like what the hell is your problem . and then one night before winter break when it was almost all and done she told people what happened her mom and then after telling Lucas that she looked up what happened to his mother and going to doctor Heller she left and Buck was there again and this time she fought and told and Lucas was there again I loved this book it was something I've never read before and I loved it I highly recommend it .

Favorite quotes -I want to see your tattoos you do huh ? page 137

You haven't done anything wrong , so you have nothing to be worried about . Probably he just wants to make sure Lucas-Landon - sideshow bob - whoever- the hell- he is didn't take advantage of you. Page 180

He released my wrists, and I wrapped my arms around his neck, feeling out hearts beat in sync as lips fallowed a meandering path from my ear down . Choosing to be with you isn't difficult decision , Jacqurline, he breathed , pulling back one final time to state into my eyes . It's easy . Incredibly easy. Page 310

Why I started reading and why I started book blogging

When  I was  7  I just transferred  from  a  private  school to  a public   school .   I have a learning difference  in processing   which means  I process  things  different  to  my  brain   like  math .  When  learning to read I was scared   cause I'd  already  failed  so much in school  and the  school before  didn't believe in me  very  much  but when  I learned   i got the  reading bug  I went to the library   checked out a   book   and it changed  me forever. my  first  book I remember loving was   bridge  to  tarabirtha by  Katherne  Paterson    it  made me  cry  I read it over and over again.    A few years later I found writing    my  very  first blog post  was on  writing   it  was post on december 8, 2009  a  few days later I posted my  first book review   and I really liked  posting  book  reviews   so  I  stuck with it  and  it  became  my  passion  talking about books  writing reviews  and  reading   .
