Book review - unteachable by Leah Raeder

UnteachableUnteachable by Leah Raeder
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Summary -
This novel contains graphic sexual content and strong language. It is intended for mature readers.

I met him at a carnival, of all corny places. The summer I turned eighteen, in that chaos of neon lights and cheap thrills, I met a man so sweet, so beautiful, he seemed to come from another world. We had one night: intense, scary, real. Then I ran, like I always do. Because I didn’t want to be abandoned again.

But I couldn’t run far enough.

I knew him as Evan that night. When I walked into his classroom, he became Mr. Wilke.

My teacher.

I don’t know if what we’re doing is wrong. The rules say one thing; my heart says screw the rules. I can’t let him lose his job. And I can’t lose him.

In the movies, this would have a happy ending. I grow up. I love, I lose, I learn. And I move on. But this is life, and there’s no script. You make it up as you go along.

And you don’t pray for a happy ending. You pray for it to never end.

Review-
The second book in the divergent series was really good we saw allot happen Tris going over what happened in the simulations that she shot will and she doesn't tell Tobias (four) and her parents deaths so Tobias Tris Marcas caleb and Peter go to amity to hide out from the people going after the divergent so what Loved about this book was there was allot of action there was some fourtris romance allot of Tobias trying to tell tris her life was worth living that kind of pissed me off Tris I understand your going through allot but do you think your parents would like you trying to get yourself killed every second so when dauntless traitors come into amity looking for Tris and four tris can't shoot her gun cause of will they all hop on a train with the factionless with Edward the one Peter stabbed in the eye and they take everyone to the factionless where we meet four's mother WTF she's alive Tris and four get taken to the candor where they are under a truth serum where tris tells she killed will . Christina is pissed Tris tried to explain that . the dauntless traitors storm the place Eric kills a child he wants to divergent Tris stabs Eric and he is aresseted and is triled for execution and he is killed then something happens simulations start again for people who were shot with the blue things and they have messages for the divergent christina is with tris Marlene is also there oh the roof to jump they made Marlene jump I was sobbing christina understands now and she isn't mad at tris anymore . Tris decided to bring herself to Erudite to be killed and she sees caleb he worked against his own sister how could he . Jaineee is going to kill tris and then tobias shows up you die I die to tris finally relizes her life is worth living a little to late when she is about to be killed or so she thinks peter helps her get out so he fakes her death I was not expecting that . tris and christina and marcus decided to get the information from erudite and tori kills Jannnie tris doesn't get the information but Tobias does and it is it turns out that there minds were wiped  and they get fake named fake history wow that's freaking crazy.

Summer, boys, and friendships gone sour. This new series has everything that perfect beach reads are made of!

Gemma just got dumped and is devastated. She finds herself back in the Hamptons for the summer—which puts her at risk of bumping into Hallie, her former best friend that she wronged five years earlier. Do people hold grudges that long?

When a small case of mistaken identity causes everyone, including Hallie and her dreamy brother Josh, to think she’s someone else, Gemma decides to go along with it.

Gemma's plan is working (she's finding it hard to resist Josh), but she's finding herself in embarrassing situations (how could a bathing suit fall apart like that!?). Is it coincidence or is someone trying to expose her true identity? And how will Josh react if he finds out who she is?

What's on my hold list

I  saw  this  on   Ya  nerds   blog   and  thought  I do  one  myself    .  I love the  librairy  I live  down  the street   from  my local  one   and for  a book lover that's awesome    so  let me  tell you what  I have on hold for me  .

You have to kill him." Imprisoned in the heart of a secret military base, Em has nothing except the voice of the boy in the cell next door and the list of instructions she finds taped inside the drain.

Only Em can complete the final instruction. She’s tried everything to prevent the creation of a time machine that will tear the world apart. She holds the proof: a list she has never seen before, written in her own hand. Each failed attempt in the past has led her to the same terrible present—imprisoned and tortured by a sadistic man called the doctor while war rages outside.

Marina has loved her best friend James since the day he moved next door when they were children. A gorgeous, introverted science prodigy from one of America’s most famous families, James finally seems to be seeing Marina in a new way, too. But on one disastrous night, James’s life crumbles apart, and with it, Marina’s hopes for their future. Now someone is trying to kill him. Marina will protect James, no matter what. Even if it means opening her eyes to a truth so terrible that she may not survive it. At least not as the girl she once was.

All Our Yesterdays is a wrenching, brilliantly plotted story of fierce love, unthinkable sacrifice, and the infinite implications of our every choice.
I saw this on  a  blog  and  wanted to request  it

Natalie Sterling wants to be in control. She wants her friends to be loyal. She wants her classmates to elect her student council president. She wants to find the right guy, not the usual jerk her school has to offer. She wants a good reputation, because she believes that will lead to good things.
But life is messy, and it's very hard to be in control of it. Not when there are freshman girls running around in a pack, trying to get senior guys to sleep with them. Not when your friends have secrets they're no longer comfortable sharing. Not when the boy you once dismissed ends up being the boy you want to sleep with yourself - but only in secret, with nobody ever finding out.
Slut or saint? Winner or loser? Natalie is getting tired of these forced choices - and is now going to find a way to live life in the sometimes messy, sometimes wonderful in-between.

Cricket Thompson's lifetime of overachieving has paid off: she's headed to Brown University in the fall, with a spot on the lacrosse team and a scholarship that covers almost everything. Who knew living in the dorm cost money? An Ivy League education seems to mean living at home for the next four years.

When Cricket is offered the chance to earn enough cash to afford a real college experience, she heads back to Nantucket for the summer. But the faraway island challenges Cricket in ways she hadn't anticipated. It's hard to focus on earning money for next year, when she finds her world opening up in entirely new ways-to art, to travel, and, most unexpectedly, to a future completely different from the one she has been working toward her whole life. A friendship blossoms with Ben, the gorgeous surfer and bartender who encourages Cricket to be free, even as she smarts at the pain of seeing Zack, her first love, falling for her worst enemy.

But one night, when Cricket finally lets herself break all her own rules, she realizes she may have ruined her carefully constructed future with one impulsive decision. Cricket must dig deep to fight for her future, discovering that success isn't just about reaching goals, but also about listening to what she's been trying to ignore-her own heart.

Book review The art of forgiving by anna bloom

Summary  -  Benjamin Chambers found the girl, won the girl, and then lost the girl all in two months. It wouldn’t be so bad if it wasn’t that girl. The one that had already got away once.
Left to his own devices, wallowing in self-pity, drinking whiskey and killing ballads on his guitar Ben is looking forward to the worst Christmas in history. That is until an unexpected offer of help arrives.
Given the best Christmas gift he could ever wish for, the chance to spend one more day with the girl that got away. Ben knows he just has one day to convince Lilah that they are meant to be together, before he has to make some big decisions about his own future. Just one day to set right the mistakes that he has made, but will it be enough?
Ben may end up finding out that The Art of Forgiving isn't something you can teach, it is something that you have to earn.

Review - The saving of ben chambers by anna bloom

Summarry  -
Benjamin Chambers needs saving, he just does not know it yet. Bored of his life of repetitive gigs with a band going nowhere fast and one night stands with girls who are only interested in his role as a lead singer, something has got to change. It’s just what do you do when the only life you know involves messing around with guitars and attempting to run away from any female attention that comes your way.
Ben has a New Year’s resolution and one that he is determined to keep, quit the band and get a life of his own. Little does Ben realise that on his last night with his band Sound Box he is going to meet a girl who will turn everything he knows upside down.
As Ben sets himself the challenge to find ‘The Girl’ again, he may be about to learn that in an effort to rescue her, he himself will be the one to be saved

Review- I read the art of letting go and needed more and when it was asked to do a review of Ben's story I was like hell yeah so this is Ben point of view of the art of letting go he wakes up next to a girl he doesn't know he want to quit the band and when he tells his bandmates of 10 years that he's quitting he meets Lila at the Christmas party and everything changes so he stays with the band and he enrolls in college and sees her I loved this story . Book review - is everyone hanging out without me ? by Mindy Kaling

Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns)Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? by Mindy Kaling
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

summarry  Mindy Kaling has lived many lives: the obedient child of immigrant professionals, a timid chubster afraid of her own bike, a Ben Affleck–impersonating Off-Broadway performer and playwright, and, finally, a comedy writer and actress prone to starting fights with her friends and coworkers with the sentence “Can I just say one last thing about this, and then I swear I’ll shut up about it?”

Perhaps you want to know what Mindy thinks makes a great best friend (someone who will fill your prescription in the middle of the night), or what makes a great guy (one who is aware of all elderly people in any room at any time and acts accordingly), or what is the perfect amount of fame (so famous you can never get convicted of murder in a court of law), or how to maintain a trim figure (you will not find that information in these pages). If so, you’ve come to the right book, mostly!

In Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?, Mindy invites readers on a tour of her life and her unscientific observations on romance, friendship, and Hollywood, with several conveniently placed stopping points for you to run errands and make phone calls. Mindy Kaling really is just a Girl Next Door—not so much literally anywhere in the continental United States, but definitely if you live in India or Sri Lanka.

review-I  don’t  read books like  this like  ever but  I love  mindy  as  a person  and her show  the mindy  project this  book  made me  laugh  I have  so many  lines  highlighted   they  made me  laugh   I  watch  mindy’s  show  the  mindy  project   and she  is  exactly  as  funny   in  written  form   I feel like  I can  relate  to her   being  a  curvy girl  myself  and  being  made  fun  of   harsh  right   or  when she  hit  her  best friend  in a production she  was  doing   she  gives you a great  laugh  I’d  say if your going to read this   read it  with the audio  book  it’s so much  better   mindy is  an  awesome  person  she talks how  she  got to write for the  tv show the office   it’s  one of those books  you can  read   and  say  can  I be  best friends  with her  .

favorite  quotes

“Teenage girls, please don’t worry about being super popular in high school, or being the best actress in high school, or the best athlete. Not only do people not care about any of that the second you graduate, but when you get older, if you reference your successes in high school too much, it actually makes you look kind of pitiful, like some babbling old Tennessee Williams character with nothing else going on in her current life. What I’ve noticed is that almost no one who was a big star in high school is also big star later in life. For us overlooked kids, it’s so wonderfully fair.”

There are many teenage vampire books you could have purchased instead. I'm grateful you made this choice.”

Book Review - Rook by Monica Macdonald

Summary  -
Could you be the monster to save who you love?

Two women, separated by generations, must leave what they know to start a new life. Seventeen-year-old Kate's senior year is ruined when she's moved from the only home she's ever known. Kali, a single mother living in the nineteenth century wilds of Montana, is stalked by a malicious past. She fights to keep her daughter safe while her freedom is threatened by her less than benevolent benefactor. Both find love, and with it hope, but that is quickly ripped away as one woman must learn the lessons of the other -- before it's too late to save either

Cassandra fears rocking the family boat. Instead, she sinks it. Assigned by her English teacher to write a poem that reveals her true self, Cassandra Randall is stuck. Her family's religion is so overbearing, she can NEVER write about who she truly is. So Cass does what any self-respecting high school girl would do: she secretly begins writing a tarot-inspired advice blog. When Drew Godfrey, an awkward outcast with unwashed hair, writes to her, the situation spirals into what the school calls "a cyberbullying crisis" and what the church calls "sorcery." Cass wants to be the kind of person who sticks up for the persecuted, who protects the victims the way she tries to protect her brother from the homophobes in her church. But what if she's just another bully? What will it take for her to step up and tell the truth?

I really want to read this book I don't know what to say   .

Wishlist Wednesday # 10

Summary  -The Highway to Hell or the Stairway to Heaven?

Zoe Granger picked up her first guitar the day her heart was smashed into a billion pieces. It was a way to keep her mind off her inevitable downward spiral, but music soon became her escape. She's been burned too many times to tell and is just happy to coast through life, never putting herself out there. That's until her best friend Dee suggests they start a band and suddenly she finds herself not just a part of it, but fronting the whole outfit.

They call themselves The Devil's Tattoo and when they release their debut EP, it rockets to the top of the charts and it's like an overnight fairytale. Contracts, photo shoots, royalties and interviews are heaped onto the shy Zoe and it's like she's finally found her place. Then comes the phone call that changes everything. They've been asked to co-headline a tour with one of the hottest bands of the moment, The Stabs and Zoe will never be the same again.

Will Strickland is one fourth of the hottest indie rock band to ever grace the airwaves. He's the bass player in The Stabs, hot as hell and could have his pick of any girl that flings herself at him. But he's only got eyes for Zoe and she has no idea why he'd bother. She's got one hell of a trust issue and an attitude to boot and Will seems to be the one who wants to tame her, but is he game enough?

I  really  want  this  book  it  looks  really  good    I love contemporary  books  and the  whole girl  band and boy band thing that's interesting  to me   I've already added to my wish list on amazon

Book review - City of fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare

City of Fallen Angels (The Mortal Instruments, #4)City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

summary- The Mortal War is over, and sixteen-year-old Clary Fray is back home in New York, excited about all the possibilities before her. She's training to become a Shadowhunter and to use her unique power. Her mother is getting married to the love of her life. Downworlders and Shadowhunters are at peace at last. And - most importantly of all - she can finally call Jace her boyfriend.

But nothing comes without a price.

Someone is murdering Shadowhunters who used to be in Valentine's Circle, provoking tensions between Downworlders and Shadowhunters that could lead to a second bloody war. Clary's best friend, Simon, can't help her. His mother just found out that he's a vampire and now he's homeless. Everywhere he turns, someone wants him on their side - along with the power of the curse that's wrecking his life. And they're willing to do anything to get what they want. At the same time he's dating two beautiful, dangerous girls - neither of whom knows about the other one.

When Jace begins to pull away from Clary without explaining why, she is forced to delve into the heart of a mystery whose solution reveals her worst nightmare: She herself has set in motion a terrible chain of events that could lead to her losing everything she loves. Even Jace.

Love. Blood. Betrayal. Revenge. The stakes are higher than ever in City of Fallen Angels

Review-   The  forth  book  in the mortal instruments  was  really really  good   so the  aftermath of what happened  in city of glass allot is  happening    Clary is  training to be  a  shadowhunter   Simon  is  dating  isabelle  and  mia   yeah that's  smart  simon  no it's not Luke  and  Jocelyn  are getting married  that's so cute  but  allot is happening  shadowhunters  are found  dead and so is  a  child   the  shadwhunters are wondering what is  going on Clary thinks  she  can create  a rune  for the  dead to  explain what is  happening .  Jace he's having nightmares  that he kills Clary  that's  terrible  I felt bad for him  but he also wasn't saying  anything to Clary   I kind of  wanted to scream  she's your girlfriend  tell her  .  Simon is in  danger   even though he has the  the  mark of caine  and people  turn into  salt  after  he doesn't know who is after him  he  is also  approached  by  a vampire  Camille  for them to join together  .  Clary  decided to go to this  church  and find out  about the  children  that are being turned into demons like her brother   and  was  attacked  by  demons   isabelle  came  .   Simon  gets a  new  band mate   Kyle   and ends up rooming with him  after  telling  his mother he's a vampire and her freaking out  . after  doing  a show  Simon  goes  backstage and  ends up  bitting morreen   also   Mia  and  isabelle  find  out not  good oh and  Kyle  is also  mia  ex boyfriend   and his  name is Jordan  Kyle  and he's  a werewolf and he bit mia  and it was the first  time he  bit  someone  he's was so  angry with himself  mia  thought  that he'd  done it before  .  Jace is  still having nightmares  and  clary  thinks  he  needs to go  to the silent  brothers  and finds out  after  that  jace was  brought  back  a demon  got into his  head  and  that's why  he's having these  nightmares  .  The  shadowhunters  catch   Camille  with Simon  help   and  she only  asks  to  speak with  magnas   and  Alec  starts to get  angry  finding out  that  camille  is  magnas  ex and he's  dated allot .  at the  party  Simon  sees  morreen  who was  found dead  but  was apparently  turned  into a vampire  she  takes  Simon  with him  where there is a demon  Lilath  and  she wants  simon to turn  Sebastian  into a vampire oh and  Jace is being  controlled by  Lilath  and brings clary   .  Alec  Isabelle  Jordan  and  Mia  go  look for  simon  and they go  look for  him  and  notice the business  card  as Lilath  .  So  simon has to bite Sebastian   or  clary will die  so clary  cuts  jace's  rune and he's back to normal  simon  kills lilth  by  stepping in  his mark  really  killed her  and in the  end   Sebastian  wakes up wtf and is  a  vampire  and is  controlling jace no no no this  book was awesome  .
