Summary
The heart-stopping conclusion to the New York Times bestselling Shatter Me series, which Ransom Riggs, author of Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children and Hollow City, called "a thrilling, high-stakes saga of self-discovery and forbidden love."

With Omega Point destroyed, Juliette doesn't know if the rebels, her friends, or even Adam are alive. But that won't keep her from trying to take down The Reestablishment once and for all. Now she must rely on Warner, the handsome commander of Sector 45. The one person she never thought she could trust. The same person who saved her life. He promises to help Juliette master her powers and save their dying world . . . but that's not all he wants with her.

Review- OKAY DON'T TOUCH ME AFTER READING THIS BOOK this book was my favorite of the series many reasons *cough* WARNER . Okay so this book was crazy so omega point has been destroyed and Juliette is thinking all her friends are dead and Warner takes her to where omega point once stood kenji is there holy crap was I so happy he was there and that he wasn't dead . So the only people living are Kenji , Adam , James , Winston , Brendon , Lily , Castle , Allia , and Ian . The rest were killed so Kenji starts to break down and Juliette picks him up oh my god one of my favorite scenes. He takes her to Adam's old place and I despised Adam in this book he was a freaking jackass so Juliette wants to fight and Adam thinks it's a loss cause and then warner shows up and Adam flips out. And Warner we know he's in love with Juliette but she doesn't want to admit she's in love with him she's attracted to him many times she would just stare at him one time he was in just a towel *BLUSHES* oh god so warner makes an offer to kenji and is like come with us and we will all fight against the reestablishment and Anderson and he doesn't agree at first but then he does . Kenji asks Juliette why she likes Warner cause he really wants to know I loved there friendship in this book there was this one scene where Juliette was just looking at warner working out I was laughing cause Kenji is like you have probably seen him in less and oh god this guy has an amazing closest . so Warner tells Juliette so everything I told you was a lie I didn't want to use you as weapon I wanted to study you cause my mother is very sick and they have a similar ability except his mother is more extreme she can't even touch herself so sad . And Juliette doesn't even know what to do with that then we find out where his scars come from his father whipped him holy shit what a bastard . So Adam was such a jerk to Juliette in this book she yells at him many times one time when kenji finally convinced adam to come with them it was so bad cause he was becoming phically abusive holy shit adam shut the hell up and I just wanted Juliette to just be with Warner at this point . But Adam made Kenji and Juliette touch WTF dude but then we find out she can control her touch and it was amazing then she goes to warner and she finally admits she loves him and then they have sexy fun times . Oh god so amazing oh the scene Warner finds out that Adam and him are related oh god I was so sure Warner was going to kill Adam cause Adam said his fathers name and Warner thought he was a spy but Juliette is like no you guys are brothers I don't know how they are going to break that to James I did like when James and warner first met so cute I loved the scene where she killed Anderson so badass and then she is in charge now and it ended so nice with just her and warner on the roof so cute I loved this series so much amazing ending Warnette for life .
Quotes-
Words, I think, are such unpredictable creatures.
No gun, no sword, no army or king will ever be more powerful than a sentence. Swords may cut and kill, but words will stab and stay, burying themselves in our bones to become corpses we carry into the future, all the time digging and failing to rip their skeletons from our flesh.”

You're not attracted to him ?
I'm attracted to you .
I'm serious , he says
so an I .
Warner's still staring at me . He blinks, once
Don't you believe me ? I ask .
He looks away .
Can't you tell ? I ask him . Can't you feel it ?
And I am either losing my mind or Warner just blushed

I don't think I've ever been more attracted to him in all the time I've known him.
kenji pulls up next to me . Nods at warner . So this gets you going , huh ?
I'm mortified.
Kenji barks out a laugh.
I've never seen him in sweatpants before . I try to sound normal . I've never seen him in shorts . Kenji raises an eyebrow at me . I bet you've seen him in less.
I want to die

I'm not falling for Warner , I say quietly
sure you aren't
I'm not , I insist . I'm just-I don't know . I sight I don't know what's happening to me .
They're called hormones .
I shoot him a dirty look . I'm serious.
Me too. He cocks his head at me me . That's like biological and shit . Scientific . Maybe your lady bits are scientifically confused . My lady bits ?
oh I'm sorry- Kenji pretends to look offended - would you rather I use he proper anatomical terminology ? cause you lady bits do not scare me .

So smooth , Lilly says to Kenji , and realize it's the first time I've really heard her speak . I bet you win over all the eligible woman by telling them they're like sister to you. I bet the ladies are just lining up to jump into bed with your punkass.
Rude . Kenji crosses his arms .
James is laughing . You see what I have to deal with ? Kenji says to him. There're so love for Kenji . I give and I give and I give , and get nothing in return . I need a woman who will appreciate all of this he says , gesturing to the length of his body.

there's a strange kind of freedom in the dark ; a terrifying venerability we allow ourselves at exactly the wrong moment , tricked by the darkness into thinking it will keep our secrets . We forget that the blackness is not not a blanket ; we forget that the sun will soon rise . But in the moment , at least we feel brave enough to say things we'd never say in the light

“Why do you call her 'love'?" James asks. "I've heard you say that before, too. A lot. Are you in love with her? I think Adam's in love with her. Kenji's not in love with her, though. I already asked him."
Warner blinks at him.
"Well?" James asks.
"Well what?"
"Are you in love with her?"
"Are you in love with her?"
"What?" James blushes. "No. She's like a million years older than me."
"Would anyone else like to take over this conversation?" Warner asks, looking around the group.”

“And we are quotation marks, inverted and upside down, clinging to one another at the end of this life sentence. Trapped by lives we did not choose.”

Are you out of your goddamn mind? You think we can take on two hundred soldiers? I know I am an extremely attractive man, J, but I am not Bruce Lee.”
“Who’s Bruce Lee?”
“Who’s Bruce Lee?” Kenji asks, horrified. “Oh my God. We can’t even be friends anymore.”
“Why? Was he a friend of yours?”
“You know what,” he says, “just stop. Just—I can’t even talk to you right now.”

The tattoo is just setting below his hp bone.
H e l l i s e m p t y
a n d a l l t h e d e v i l s a r e h e r e

I kiss my way across the words.
Kissing away the devils.
Kissing away the pain.”

You’re a coward,” he whispers. “You want to be with me and it terrifies you. And you’re ashamed,” he says. “Ashamed you could ever want someone like me. Aren’t you?” He drops his gaze and his nose grazes mine and I can almost count the millimeters between our lips. I’m struggling to focus, trying to remember that I’m mad at him, mad about something, but his mouth is right in front of mine and my mind can’t stop trying to figure out how to shove aside the space between us.
“You want me,” he says softly, his hands moving up my back, “and it’s killing you.”
I jerk backward, breaking away, hating my body for reacting to him, for falling apart like this. My joints feel flimsy, my legs have lost their bones. I need oxygen, need a brain, need to find my lungs—
“You deserve so much more than charity,” he says, his chest heaving. “You deserve to live. You deserve to be alive.” He’s staring at me, unblinking.
“Come back to life, love. I’ll be here when you wake up.”

“Stop.
Stop time.
Stop the world.
Stop everything for the moment he crosses the room and pulls me into his arms and pins me against the wall and I'm spinning and standing and not even breathing but I'm alive so very very alive.

“When are you putting me down?" he counters, no longer amused. "I mean, I've got an excellent view of your ass from here, but if you don't mind me staring -"
I drop him without thinking.
"Goddammit, Juliette - what the hell -"
"How's the view from down there?" I stand over his splayed body, arms crossed over my chest.
"I hate you.”

Book Review : Unravel Me Tahereh Mafi *Spoilers*

Unravel Me (Shatter Me, #2)Unravel Me by Tahereh Mafi
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

May 24-28

Summary-
Juliette is still haunted by her deadly touch. But now that she has teamed up with other rebels with powers of their own, she'll be able to fight back against The Reestablishment to save her broken world. With the help of these new allies, she'll also finally learn the secret behind Adam's—and Warner's—immunity to her killer skin.

Unravel Me is perfect for fans who crave action-packed young adult novels with tantalizing romance like Divergent by Veronica Roth, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, and Legend by Marie Lu. Ransom Riggs, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, raves: "A thrilling, high-stakes saga of self-discovery and forbidden love, the Shatter Me series is a must-read for fans of dystopian young-adult literature—or any literature!"

Review - okay so this book was amazing crazy I laughed and cried and I'm officially TEAM WARNER just the feels are so real I hated him in the first book in the novella I was like aww but in this book holy crap. So we first start out with Juliette feeling sorry for herself I think I like Kenji way more now because he is like stop feeling sorry for yourself you aren't the only person with problems . . I was like yeah you tell her Kenji and Kenji his lines he says have literately had me laughing for minutes. So we find out that Adam his power he can turn off powers and that he's been weakening himself and then they get all hot and heavy one day and she hurts him he's fine but still. There are other characters I love also Brendon winston the twins all so different but I love them . So they go out in disuse one day and Juliette is finally making friends her and Adam break up I was really unhappy at the time but now that I'm seeing it from what I know now Adam doesn't really make her anything with him she has no backbone she doesn't stand up for herself but with Warner she can be herself she doesn't have to shy herself away .oh that scene with Anderson holy crap that guy is nuts and then Juliette shoots him and then Adam comes in is like that's my father HOLY CRAP WTF adam and warner are related wow that's crazy they take warner with them as hostage and oh Anderson took Brendon and Winston doochebag we also found out Warner's first name AAron . okay so can we talk about the scene where warner showed Juliette his tatto not the ignite one the Shakespeare one holy crap that was oh my god so intimate . oh and chapter 62 wow what the hell that is so freaking hot and then juliette has to mess it up he was like I want you to call me Aaron now I was crying at that point he is opening up to her and what and then he sneaks out and the war has started and she gets taken and anderson shoots her holy shit the twins heal her though warner oh god this book was amazing I love this series I'm on the last one .

Favorite Quotes-
It’s always ‘Shut up, Kenji.’ ‘Go to sleep, Kenji.’ ‘No one wants to see you naked, Kenji.’ When I know for a fact that there are thousands of people who would love to see me naked—

I want to be the friend you fall hopelessly in love with. The one you take into your arms and into your bed and into the private world you keep trapped in your head. I want to be that kind of friend. The one who will memorize the things you say as well as the shape of your lips when you say them. I want to know every curve, every freckle, every shiver of your body.

I want to know where to touch you, I want to know how to touch you. I want to know convince you to design a smile just for me. Yes, I do want to be your friend. I want to be your best friend in the entire world.

“I want so many things,” he whispers. “I want your mind. Your strength. I want to be worth your time.” His fingers graze the hem of my top and he says “I want this up.” He tugs on the waist of my pants and says “I want these down.” He touches the tips of his fingers to the sides of my body and says, “I want to feel your skin on fire. I want to feel your heart racing next to mine and I want to know it’s racing because of me, because you want me. Because you never,” he says, he breathes, “never want me to stop. I want every second. Every inch of you. I want all of it.”

Jesus , he gasps , jumping away from me . I'm very flattered , love, but you could've given me a chance to put my pants on .

So what's up with your suit ? I ask him .
What do you mean , what's up with it ? He frowns he runs his hands down his outfit . This suit is badass .
I bite back a smile . I just meant , why are you wearing a suit ? Why do you get one and Adam doesn't ?
He shrugs . Adam doesn't need one . Few people do - it all depends on what kind of gift we have . For me , this suit makes my life a hell of a lot easier . I don't always use it , but when I need to get serious about a mission , it really helps . Like , when I need to blend into a background , he explains , it's less complicated if I'm shifting one solid color- hence the black . And if I have too many layers and too many extra pieces floating around my body , I have to focus that much more on making sure I blend all the details . if I'm one solid piece and one solid color , I'm a much better chameleon . Besides , he adds , stretching out the muscles in his arms , I look sexy as hell in this outfit .

Have you ever had a girlfriend Kenji ?
what ? He looks mortally offended . Do I look like the kind of guy who's never had a girlfriend ? Have you even met me ?

Book review : Destroy me by Tahereh Mafi * Spoiler*

Destroy Me (Shatter Me, #1.5)Destroy Me by Tahereh Mafi
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

May 24-24

Perfect for the fans of Shatter Me who are desperately awaiting the release of Unravel Me, this novella-length digital original will bridge the gap between these two novels from the perspective of the villain we all love to hate, Warner, the ruthless leader of Sector 45.

In Tahereh Mafi’s Shatter Me, Juliette escaped from The Reestablishment by seducing Warner—and then putting a bullet in his shoulder. But as she’ll learn in Destroy Me, Warner is not that easy to get rid of. . .

Back at the base and recovering from his near-fatal wound, Warner must do everything in his power to keep his soldiers in check and suppress any mention of a rebellion in the sector. Still as obsessed with Juliette as ever, his first priority is to find her, bring her back, and dispose of Adam and Kenji, the two traitors who helped her escape. But when Warner’s father, The Supreme Commander of The Reestablishment, arrives to correct his son’s mistakes, it’s clear that he has much different plans for Juliette. Plans Warner simply cannot allow.

Set after Shatter Me and before its forthcoming sequel, Unravel Me, Destroy Me is a novella told from the perspective of Warner, the ruthless leader of Sector 45

Review - I really liked this novella I liked being in warner's head he is very crazy at times but I think it's cause of how he was raised his father is crazier . Do you remember the scene where he shot that guy in the head well it turns out he was beating his family and Warner shot the guy wow I didn't see that coming .I really enjoyed this he really cares for Juliette in his own way I can't wait to see what happens in unravel me .

Quote-
A girl who spent the last year in an insane asylum .
A girl who would would try to shoot me dead for kissing her . A girl who ran away with another man just to get away from me .
of course this is girl I would fall for .

May 21-24
Summary-
Juliette hasn’t touched anyone in exactly 264 days.

The last time she did, it was an accident, but The Reestablishment locked her up for murder. No one knows why Juliette’s touch is fatal. As long as she doesn’t hurt anyone else, no one really cares. The world is too busy crumbling to pieces to pay attention to a 17-year-old girl. Diseases are destroying the population, food is hard to find, birds don’t fly anymore, and the clouds are the wrong color.

The Reestablishment said their way was the only way to fix things, so they threw Juliette in a cell. Now so many people are dead that the survivors are whispering war – and The Reestablishment has changed its mind. Maybe Juliette is more than a tortured soul stuffed into a poisonous body. Maybe she’s exactly what they need right now.

Juliette has to make a choice: Be a weapon. Or be a warrior.

Review - Wow everyone talked about this book and I had tried to read it many times but just wasn't in the mood so one night at 2 am I started to read it and was hooked I couldn't stop reading this story . Quotes -
I spent my life folded between the pages of books.
In the absence of human relationships I formed bonds with paper characters. I lived love and loss through stories threaded in history; I experienced adolescence by association. My world is one interwoven web of words, stringing limb to limb, bone to sinew, thoughts and images all together. I am a being comprised of letters, a character created by sentences, a figment of imagination formed through fiction.

The moon is a loyal companion.
It never leaves. It’s always there, watching, steadfast, knowing us in our light and dark moments, changing forever just as we do. Every day it’s a different version of itself. Sometimes weak and wan, sometimes strong and full of light. The moon understands what it means to be human.
Uncertain. Alone. Cratered by imperfections.”

Raindrops are my only reminder that clouds have a heartbeat. That I have one, too.”

Girls are always talking about electricity in their romance, but none are too happy to actually be electrocuted, apparently. Bloody confusing, is what it is.”

This must be difficult for you.
Excuse me ?
Looking at my face . Realizing I was right you made the wrong decision . "He shrugs . "I understand . I'm not a proud man , you know . I'd be willing to forgive you.
I gape at him unsure whether to laugh or throw something. Don't make me touch you. He shakes his head . It's incredible how someone can look so right and feel so wrong . Kent is a lucky bastard.

Book review - Ugly love by Colleen hoover *Spoilers*

Ugly LoveUgly Love by Colleen Hoover
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

May 6- 11

Summary When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she doesn't think it's love at first sight. They wouldn’t even go so far as to consider themselves friends. The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction. Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they have the perfect set-up. He doesn’t want love, she doesn’t have time for love, so that just leaves the sex. Their arrangement could be surprisingly seamless, as long as Tate can stick to the only two rules Miles has for her.

Never ask about the past.
Don’t expect a future.

They think they can handle it, but realize almost immediately they can’t handle it at all.

Hearts get infiltrated.
Promises get broken.
Rules get shattered.
Love gets ugly.

 THIS REVIEW  CONTAINS  SPOILERS !

Review- When Tate colins moves in with her pilot brother she meets a very unexpected person while trying to get into her apartment a drunk guy is laying on the door she tries to get past him but can't she calls her brother corbin and he calls his friend Miles to help turns out Miles is the drunk guy she drags him in and brings him to the couch and he starts crying in his sleep about Rachel I was so heartbroken for him . The next morning he is staring at her and Tate isn't a morning person so she shuts the door in his face which I thought was funny as Miles corbin and Tate are bringing up all her stuff from her car Tate and Miles re- introduce themselves so sweet. What I really loved about this book I just felt for these characters when we got to hear about Miles and what he was doing 6 years earlier .When he met Rachel when he fell for Rachel when he found out she was his dad's girlfriends daughter he really loved this girl and I wanted to know what separated them I wanted to know why Miles hadn't been with a girl in six years . But at thanksgiving he kisses Tate and then they decided to have a kind of neighbors with benefits cause they both work really hard Miles a pilot and Tate a Nurse but one of the funniest scenes in this book was when there at dinner and Tate's mom is asking if he's seeing anyone and she kind of thinks he is gay and Corbin thought it was this big secret and he is like I'm not gay I was laughing so hard cause he though Miles was gay for three years hahaha . So when Tate and Miles finally hook up wow so steamy . I didn't actually like that he always kind of left her after I mean I get the whole no strings thing in the sense but Miles can't even admit he likes her as a person and it made me so angry at times cause I'm like Tate this guy isn't going to budge why are you with him. I mean after reading this I kind of get Miles a lot more he went though allot with Rachel when they found out they were pregnant they go to tell there parents but then we find out there already married oh god oh god . so I was like I can totally get if he has a kid and he's hiding that from her but he won't even tell her simple things from his past like nothing other Characters I loved were Miles's best friend Ian and Cap the old man who worked in the building two different characters but totally worked so well in this story . So they keep hooking up and all that and she is I think try to get him to want something more but he doesn't he can't he says. So Rachel has the baby and it's so cute and they are on there way home and they crash into a lake and oh god I was freaking out cause that must be how he got his scar holy crap he saves Rachel but he can't get the baby he dies and I'm crying at this point and Rachel blames him and she leaves him . Oh hell I mean he's been though a holy hell of a lot he lost his mother his son god What .And Tate really likes Miles and she knows he does to and she one time just snaps and he breaks down and wow I felt for him I mean Miles made me mad at times I wanted to shake him like go to her Miles she loves you and when she is moving out Ian is there and she tells him goodbye and cries going away and Corbin punches Miles which he really deserved and Ian is like if someone could take away the bad memories but it takes away the good would you do it and Miles is like maybe and Ian says that Tate has made a big impact and I really agree . He goes to see Rachel and she is happy she has a daughter and a husband she never thought she would be happy again but she learned to and Makes Miles see her daughter and he says you gave him a sister I cried then he goes to Tate and tells her he misses her and he will tell her about his past . I was so happy for them he takes tate and Cap in the plane to see the sunrise and then he askes her to move
in and marry him oh my god and then they hook up in the plane . They have a daughter and they name her after Cap which was so sweet I loved this book so much and I can't wait to see how they do the movie .

“Love isn't always pretty. Sometimes you spend all your time hoping it'll eventually be something different. Something better. Then, before you know it, you're back to square one, and you lost your heart somewhere along the way.”

What's your deal then ? I ask him . You have STD it's the nurse in me . I have no medical filter . He laughs . Pretty damn clean , he says . He still doesn't explain himself , though . It's been six years since you kissed a girl, then why did you kiss me ?

When life gives you lemons, make sure you know whose eyes you need to squeeze them in

Sometimes not speaking says more than all the words in the world.

“Ugly love becomes you. Consumes you. Makes you hate it all. Makes you realize that all the beautiful parts aren't even worth it. Without the beautiful, you'll never risk feeling the ugly. So you give it all up. You give it all up. You never want love again, no matter what kind it is, because no type of love will ever be worth living through the ugly love again.

Tate lays her head on my arm, and we both watch her.

Our daughter.

I love you so much, Sam.

I’m looking down at the perfection we created when it hits me.

It’s all worth it.

It’s the beautiful moments like these that make up for the uglylove.”

waiting wednesday

i’m the fat Puerto Rican–Polish girl who doesn’t feel like she belongs in her skin, or anywhere else for that matter. I’ve always been too much and yet not enough.
Sugar Legowski-Gracia wasn’t always fat, but fat is what she is now at age seventeen. Not as fat as her mama, who is so big she hasn’t gotten out of bed in months. Not as heavy as her brother, Skunk, who has more meanness in him than fat, which is saying something. But she’s large enough to be the object of ridicule wherever she is: at the grocery store, walking down the street, at school. Sugar’s life is dictated by taking care of Mama in their run-down home—cooking, shopping, and, well, eating. A lot of eating, which Sugar hates as much as she loves.
When Sugar meets Even (not Evan—his nearly illiterate father misspelled his name on the birth certificate), she has the new experience of someone seeing her and not her body. As their unlikely friendship builds, Sugar allows herself to think about the future for the first time, a future not weighed down by her body or her mother.
Soon Sugar will have to decide whether to become the girl that Even helps her see within herself or to sink into the darkness of the skin-deep role her family and her life have created for her.

Book Review - This girl : Colleen Hoover *Spoilers*

This Girl (Slammed, #3)This Girl by Colleen Hoover
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

February 25- May 5
There are two sides to every love story. Now hear Will’s.

Colleen Hoover’s New York Times bestselling Slammed series has brought countless readers to their knees with a whirlwind of love, passion, and heartache.

Layken and Will’s love has managed to withstand the toughest of circumstances and the young lovers, now married, are beginning to feel safe and secure in their union. As much as Layken relishes their new life together, she finds herself wanting to know everything there is to know about her husband, even though Will makes it clear he prefers to keep the painful memories of the past where they belong. Still, he can’t resist his wife’s pleas and so he begins to untangle his side of the story, revealing for the first time his most intimate feelings and thoughts, retelling both the good and bad moments, and sharing a few shocking confessions of his own from the time when they first met.

In This Girl, Will tells the story of their complicated relationship from his point of view. Their future rests on how well they deal with the past in this final installment of the beloved Slammed series.

THIS REVIEW CONTAINS  SPOILERS  !

Review- I think this may be my second favorite of the series I loved this one so much hearing from Will's POV from slammed .While their on there honeymoon was so cute there were some sad points though like when his ex girlfriend dumped him she was a bitch in point of retreat and she was in this girl . I loved seeing him see lake for the first time from his POV it was so sweet I loved him even more in this book especially the ending when they were in the car and listening to the Avett brothers who I now love and will is like it better not be Nicklback I was laughing . And when they went to the slam I loved the "Really long poem " it was very good and when he kept the chocolate milk on the rocks it was so sweet .And we also find out that Gavin knew all along I think I love Gavin way more now cause he had to put up with Will though all of this . And the kiss awww so sweet and then it goes down hill down from there when he find out he's her teacher. It was so bad and even hearing again was bad I read this one with audiobook and it made it even better I liked hearing from the honeymoon way better sometimes. Like when they agreed never to carve pumpkins with each other good .And the scene in the pool oh my god I really loved seeing what hell will was going though that it wasn't easy for him and him finding out Julia has cancer I was crying more and when he preformed "This Girl " one of my favorite poems he has done I mean other than the one about the Lake oh my god. When he confesses his feeling and she's 'kissing' Javi and he wanted to kill him oh I wanted to also oh god and the moment of weakness come on will I know he wants to give her time when he was judging at the slam and she came up oh my freaking god he was like she loves me she loves me . I think the most awkward scene was the scene when Julia caught them together oh god but everything about this book was amazing. when they go home and celebrate with everyone and kirsten tells the boys about sex I'm laughing. And oh Eddie and Gavin are engaged so sweet the epilogue Lake is having her daughter and they name her Julia Kel gives will a letter from Julia it was so sweet it made me cry and Will does his final piece such a great series I loved everything about this series the characters the poems and the romance .

Quotes-
my final piece
We’re born into the world
As just one small piece to the puzzle
That makes up an entire life.
It’s up to us throughout our years,
to find all of our pieces that fit.
The pieces that connect who we are
To who we were
To who we’ll one day be.
Sometimes pieces will almost fit.
They’ll feel right.
We’ll carry them around for a while,
Hoping they’ll change shape.
Hoping they’ll conform to our puzzle.
But they won’t.
We’ll eventually have to let them go.
To find the puzzle that is their home.
Sometimes pieces won’t fit at all.
No matter how much we want them to.
We’ll shove them.
We’ll bend them.
We’ll break them.
But what isn’t meant to be,
won’t be.
Those are the hardest pieces of all to
accept.
The pieces of our puzzle
That just don’t belong.
But occasionally . . .
Not very often at all,
If we’re lucky,
If we pay enough attention,
We’ll find a
perfect match.
The pieces of the puzzle that slide right in
The pieces that hug the contours of our own
pieces.
The pieces that lock to us.
The pieces that we lock to.
The pieces that fit so well, we can’t tell
where our piece begins
And that piece ends.
Those pieces we call
Friends.
True loves.
Dreams.
Passions.
Beliefs.
Talents.
They’re all the pieces that complete our
puzzles.
They line the edges,
Frame the corners,
Fill the centers,
Those pieces are the pieces that make us
who we are.
Who we were.
Who we’ll one day be.
Up until today,
When I looked at my own puzzle,
I would see a finished piece.
I had the edges lined,
The corners framed,
The center filled.
It felt like it was complete.
All the pieces were there.
I had everything I wanted.
Everything I needed.
Everything I dreamt of.
But up until today,
I realized I had collected all
but one piece.
The most vital piece.
The piece that completes the picture.
The piece that completes my whole life.
I held this girl in my arms
She wrapped her tiny fingers around mine.
It was then that I realized
She was the fusion.
The glue.
The cement that bound all my pieces
together.
The piece that seals my puzzle.
The piece that completes my life.
The element that makes me who I am.
Who I was.
Who I’ll one day be.
You, baby girl.
You’re my final piece.”

“I wish I could explain how I feel, but nothing can explain this moment. Not a vase of stars. Not a book. Not a song. Not even a poem. Nothing can explain the moment when the woman you would give your life for sees her daughter for the very first time.”

“It's not your bra. It's our bra and I want it off." I slip it off her, pulling her against me as I rub my hands down the length of her back, then around to the button on the front of her jeans. "And I want to take off our pants."

She grins against my lips and slowly nods. "Okay, but hurry," she whispers.

"I can be quick," I assure her. "But I'll never hurry.”

This poem is very long
So long, in fact, that your attention span
May be stretched to its very limits
But that’s okay
It’s what’s so special about poetry
See, poetry takes time
We live in a time
Call it our culture or society
It doesn’t matter to me cause neither one rhymes
A time where most people don’t want to listen
Our throats wait like matchsticks waiting to catch fire
Waiting until we can speak
No patience to listen

But this poem is long
It’s so long, in fact, that during the time of this poem
You could’ve done any number of other wonderful things
You could’ve called your father
Call your father
You could be writing a postcard right now
Write a postcard
When was the last time you wrote a postcard?
You could be outside
You’re probably not too far away from a sunrise or a sunset
Watch the sun rise
Maybe you could’ve written your own poem
A better poem
You could have played a tune or sung a song
You could have met your neighbor
And memorized their name
Memorize the name of your neighbor
You could’ve drawn a picture
(Or, at least, colored one in)
You could’ve started a book
Or finished a prayer
You could’ve talked to God
Pray
When was the last time you prayed?
Really prayed?

This is a long poem
So long, in fact, that you’ve already spent a minute with it
When was the last time you hugged a friend for a minute?
Or told them that you love them?
Tell your friends you love them

…no, I mean it, tell them

Say, I love you

Say, you make life worth living
Because that, is what friends do
Of all of the wonderful things that you could’ve done
During this very, very long poem
You could have connected
Maybe you are connecting
Maybe we’re connecting
See, I believe that the only things that really matter
In the grand scheme of life are God and people
And if people are made in the image of God
Then when you spend your time with people
It’s never wasted
And in this very long poem
I’m trying to let a poem do what a poem does:
Make things simpler
We don’t need poems to make things more complicated
We have each other for that
We need poems to remind ourselves of the things that really matter
To take time
A long time
To be alive for the sake of someone else for a single moment
Or for many moments

Cause we need each other

To hold the hands of a broken person
All you have to do is meet a person
Shake their hand
Look in their eyes

They are you

We are all broken together
But these shattered pieces of our existence don’t have to be a mess
We just have to care enough to hold our tongues sometimes
To sit and listen to a very long poem
A story of a life
The joy of a friend and the grief of friend
To hold and be held
And be quiet

So, pray
Write a postcard
Call your parents and forgive them and then thank them
Turn off the TV
Create art as best as you can
Share as much as possible, especially money
Tell someone about a very long poem you once heard
And how afterward it brought you to them”

Oh my God!" Julia yells. "Are you kidding me, Will? Don't help her put her clothes back on! I'm standing right here!"

What the hell am I thinking?”

Waiting Wednesday

An unforgettable new series from acclaimed author Katie McGarry about taking risks, opening your heart and ending up in a place you never imagined possible.

Seventeen-year-old Emily likes her life the way it is: doting parents, good friends, good school in a safe neighborhood. Sure, she's curious about her biological father—the one who chose life in a motorcycle club, the Reign of Terror, over being a parent—but that doesn't mean she wants to be a part of his world. But when a reluctant visit turns to an extended summer vacation among relatives she never knew she had, one thing becomes clear: nothing is what it seems. Not the club, not her secret-keeping father and not Oz, a guy with suck-me-in blue eyes who can help her understand them both.

Oz wants one thing: to join the Reign of Terror. They're the good guys. They protect people. They're…family. And while Emily—the gorgeous and sheltered daughter of the club's most respected member—is in town, he's gonna prove it to her. So when her father asks him to keep her safe from a rival club with a score to settle, Oz knows it's his shot at his dream. What he doesn't count on is that Emily just might turn that dream upside down.

No one wants them to be together. But sometimes the right person is the one you least expect, and the road you fear the most is the one that leads you home.

Home by Clementine Von Radics Home is a collection of snapshots. Part narrative poetry, part memoir, and wholly unusual, it is an honest, messy, beautiful, at times brutal account of navigating collective living, sex, love, fear, and self-discovery as a young artist.I found most of her poems on tumblr and found out she wrote a book and picked both of them up I read all of them and I connected so much to her words I loved them you have to pick her work up .- Christina

Review- The second and last book made me laugh and cry at the same time I loved seeing Andrew and Camryn engaged happy and Camryn pregnant . Everything was going so well they are having a girl they are living in Galveston but Camryn isn't happy there so they are heading back to Camryns home and they are going to look for a place to live . They have a kind of baby shower and Camryn is having pains and I felt like something bad is going to happen I just knew it and it did she lost the baby. I cried for her and Andrew is vey gental with her and Camryn doesn't like that and then Camryn starts using pills and they go visit Adain and Michelle and it looks like Adain and Michelle are having problems all they do is work which kind of sucks . But Camryn and Andrew play at Adians bar they have a great time and then Andrew find out about the pills and then Andrew gets Asher to drive Andrew's car down so they can go on there roadtrip which Camryn was reluctant of because of loosing Lilly but they go and it was some time. There was a crazy time like a really fucked up crazy . They go from winter through summer florida was a fucked up place they party with some people and it was fine and then they get drugged and some weird ass things go down like sexual things. And the next morning Andrew punches the hell out of people and they deserve it the only two normal people were the ones that helped them they leave Florida . But Andrew is still mad at himself cause he was sapose to protect Camryn he punches a tree. They head to new Orleans where everything started between them they go to the bar where they played Barton hall where they find out eddie died sad and they go to the bar where they played pool it was so great to relive some of those memories . They headed to Galveston to visit his mom and they get married eeek they head back to camryns home they find a place and it's a small cute place Andrew gets headache's again and I'm worried as much as Camryn so they go to the doctor and everything is okay but he still needs to be checked up on and it was an amazing book I loved every bit of it . I loved seeing flashbacks from the first book so cute . Camryn and Andrew finally had there baby they named her Lilly everything is great I loved how it ended with Lily at graduation that was so cool . This story was amazing these two books are with me forever .

Quotes-
I really do forget about everything . Because that's what a moment like this does to you. It makes you feel something so small inside of something so massive that it's beyond comprehension . It strips away all of your problems , all of your hardships , all of your worldly needs and wants and desires , forcing you to realize just how insignificant all of it really is . It's like the Earth becomes completely silent and still, and all that your mind can understand or feel is the vastness of the universe and you gasp thinking about your place within it .
Who needs psychiatrists ? Who needs grief counselors and life coaches and motivational speakers ? Fuck all of that . just stare at the night sky and let yourself get lost in it every now and then.

“Our story is over, yes, but our journey isn't, because we'll always live on the edge until the day we die.”

I guess sometimes the greatest memories are made in the most unlikely of places, further proof that spontaneity is more rewarding than a meticulously planned life.

You're like a philosopher with tattoos.”

“Dear Camryn,
I know you're scared. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little scared, too, but I have to believe that this time around everything will be fine. And it will be.
We've been through so much together. More than most people in such a short time. But no matter what, the one thing that has never changed is that we're still together. Death couldn't take me away from you. Weakness couldn't make me look at you in a bad light. Drugs and all the shit that comes with them couldn't take you away from me. I think it's more safe to say that we're indestructable.
Maybe all of this has been a test. Yeah, I think about that a lot and I've convinced myself of it. A lot of people take Fate for granted. Some have everything they've ever wanted right at their fingertips, but they abuse it. Others walk right past their only opportunity because they never open their eyes long enough to see that it's there. But you and I, even before we met, took all the risks, made our own decisions without listening to everybody around us telling us, in so many ways, that what we're doing is wrong. Hell no, we did it our way, no matter how reckless, or crazy or unconventional. It's like the more we pushed and the more we fought, the harder the obstacles. Because we had to prove we were the real deal.
And I know we've done just that.
Camryn, I want you to read this letter to yourself once a week. It doesn't matter what day or what time, just read it. Every time you open it, I want you to see that another week has passed and you're still pregnant. That I'm still in good health. That we're still together. I want you to think about the three of us, you, me and our son or daughter, traveling Europe and Soth America. Because we're going to do it. I promise you that.
You're everything to me, and I want you to stay strong and not let your fear of the past taint the path to our future. Everything will work out this time, Camryn, everything will, I swear to you.
Just trust me.
Until next week...
Love,
Andrew”

“Today is the first day of the rest of our lives. It’s a special day, for Lily, for us, for everything the three of us stand for. Our story is over, yes, but our journey isn’t, because we’ll always live on the edge until the day we die.”

“For anyone who has ever had a moment of weakness. It won’t be painful forever, so don’t let it get the best of you.”

“I just became Camryn Parrish
