Book review : Just for now Abbi Glines *Spoilers*

Just for Now (Sea Breeze, #4)Just for Now by Abbi Glines
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

June 20-21

An insatiable attraction heats to the boiling point in this steamy book set in the shore town of Sea Breeze from the author of the white-hot The Vincent Boys.

Preston is one bad boy. And Amanda has harbored a crush on him for forever. When she finally makes her move on him, it does not end well. But still, she can’t resist him. Especially now that he seems to be pursuing her, too.

No one wants wants them to be together. Not Amanda’s brother Marcus, who is on the verge of his marriage to Low, and definitely not any of Preston’s buddies. They know way too much about Preston’s dark side. Even Preston realizes he’s not good enough for someone like her.

But Amanda believes there is more to Preston than his bad boy persona, and she is determined to unearth what he’s hiding behind his seductive blue eyes—secrets that could explain his actions. Secrets Amanda might not be able to forgive.

Yet the dangerous attraction persists...and neither Preston nor Amanda is going to deny it

Review - Okay this is the one that had me on the edge of my seat the most okay So Amanda and Preston Hook up HOLY SHIT okay so Preston was drunk and they hooked up in the back of the club oh my god I was freaking out . And then Preston started having dreams of Amanda cause he's been attracted to her for awhile . Amanda has been in love with Preston since she was sixteen and he didn't even kiss her during sex oh my god I was freaking out . And Marcus and Low are engaged oh my god so happy for them . So Preston is a gigolo so he can pay for his siblings cause his mother is useless and if wanted to take them he couldn't anyway . Amanda and him flirt allot and at allot of points I was like just be together damn it and when daisy his sister gets really sick and has to be taken to the hospitable Amanda steps in to help . And oh god I was so worried so when they have sex again this time it was way differnt and when Marcus found out I was so sure he was going to kill him all he did was punch him allot Amanda of course has been off limits best friends sister yeah probably shouldn't go there but he did and all of his friends are like body guards for Amanda . When Amanda finds out he's a gigolo she is so mad so upset there done when she gets a call from one of his brothers and the mother is dead and Preston didn't get the call cause he was sleeping during the day cause he got a job as a bouncer Rock helped him get the job . Rock and Trisha help Preston with the kids and when Trisha and rock come to them about adopting the kids I was like yes oh my god yes so great when the wedding is happening She tells him she's in love with him and he's in love with her oh my god and it was such a great book.

Quotes-
He ain't planning on talking to you. He's planning on whooping your ass and then locking his sister up in her bedroom for the rest of her life . I just hope he ain't got a gun on him.

“Hearts don’t realize they’ve been lied to. They still love anyway.

“I love you. I love you so damn much it consumes me. I don't deserve you, but I'm gonna become the man who does deserve you. I promise you. I'll make you proud of me.”

“Sometimes the answer we need is in our heart. We just have to listen to it.

Book review : While it Last by Abbi Glines *Spoilers*

While it Lasts (Sea Breeze)While it Lasts by Abbi Glines
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

June 18-20

Cage brings his playboy prowess to the countryside as the Sea Breeze hookups continue, from self-published phenomenon Abbi Glines.
Low broke Cage’s heart by getting with Marcus in Because of Low. Cage went into a tailspin that ended in a DUI. In order to salvage his baseball scholarship—the one thing he truly valued besides Low—Cage must take a summer job. At a farm. Away from Sea Breeze. With lots of cows, but no hot girls. Maybe that’s what Cage needs to get back on track.

But wait—there’s that hostile daughter of the farm boss. She’s pretty and occasionally sweet, and there seems to be a lot of sadness and mystery behind her anger. Cage is dying to strip her down—physically and mentally—in the back of the barn. But is he prepared for what will happen afterward?

Review- I loved this one I have a thing for bad boys yes Cage york is a big bad boy when he get's a DUI and is sent with the country and meets Eva who hates him . Eva has been through allot her fiance / best friend was killed in the war and oh my god that letter he sent her made me sob so hard. Her and Cage have a love hate relationship they end up doing allot more than flirting in the lake oh my shit who knew a nipple ring was a thing I would find attractive ;) when Eva gets freaking drunk one night she sleeps in Cage's bed . Eva knows she has to go on with her life she took off her ring Jeremy her fiance twin is moving away she starts using her jeep she starts playing her guitar and everyone keeps telling her that Cage isn't the type she should be with she ends up sleeping with him and her father threatens him and he has to leave everyone is wondering why Cage is so upset Low tells him to fight for her he goes back to her house Eva thought he just left but he says he loves her but she just stood there OH MY GOD EVA and then when Cage is about to leave the bar there is Eva singing him a song and I loved this book so much Eva and Cage are so cute . And in the End when she wrote that letter to Josh I was balling my eyes such a good ending .

Quotes-
Only problem with talking about licking with you is that it gives me ideas . I start thinking about things I shouldn't be thinking about . Things that will only torment me 'cause I'll never know just how sweet you taste . I ma be a lot of things , Eva may even be a few of them names you called me , but i'm not going touch what belongs to another man.

If you really want to talk about licking , I'll happily oblige

Really ? well , thank you. I was under the impression you wouldn't spit on me if I was on fire .

An Engaged lady shouldn't be looking at another man like she wants to take a lick

“You see somethin' ya want, baby?"
"Maybe. I'm checking things out. Seeing if I'm interested," I shot back with my own evil grin.
"I see something I want," he drawled as he came toward me.
"You do?"
"Hell yeah, I do," he murmured. "I love chocolate." What? My excitement turned to confusion. His arm reached out beside me and took the piece of chocolate cake I'd brought him.”

“You are such a bad boy." She tugged on the hair that brushed my collar.
"I can be real bad. You haven't seen anything yet," I murmured, bending my head so I could take a nip at the soft skin at the back of her neck.
"I'm not sure I could keep up with you. I'm extremely inexperienced. We are in completely different planets when it comes to sexual experience," her breathing was labored as I licked and kissed different sweet spots on her shoulders and collarbone.
"I didn't say anything about sex, Eva," I grinned before kissing her jawline. "You're the naughty one who brought up sex.”

I understood that pain was real and sometimes things didn't last. Sometimes you just had to enjoy it while it lasts and cherish it when it's gone.”

And I'm excited to  see this  when  it comes out in movies :)

Book review : Because of Low By Abbi Glines *Spoilers*

Because of Low (Sea Breeze, #2)Because of Low by Abbi Glines
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

June 17-19
It’s steamy in the Gulf town of Sea Breeze. Physical attraction is the only way to beat the heat in this start to a series from bestselling, previously self-published author Abbi Glines.

Playboy Cage owns the apartment, and he hosts a revolving door of people, in and out, at all times. Most of them are long-legged hot girls who are never there more than a night or two. When Cage’s new roommate, Marcus, enters the picture, he’s just looking to nurse a broken heart. But there’s one particular semi-frequent regular who catches his eye.

Willow—“Low”—is the one Cage wants to marry. But the two of them are night and day, and Marcus can’t see how Low puts up with all of Cage’s womanizing. What she really needs is a real man....like good-looking and sensible Marcus. But that’s going to get real complicated and real messy—real fast.

Book review- This one is my favorite so far I loved hearing more about Marcus Hardy *Swoon* Marcus has come home because of family problems his dad cheated on his mom with a younger woman he works with . He's living with a guy who sleeps with allot of woman Cage is an interesting Character Then we meet Low cage's best friend who he tells people he's going to marry her she comes to the apartment crying and she always sleeps in cage's bed but she's not attracted to him . Marcus likes low and one day when Low is watching Larrissa who is adorable Marcus kisses her awww and then they go out on a date and this girl jess is always causing problems but Low does tell her off finally . Marcus brings Low to meet his mom and his dad didn't show of course cause he's a dick and Low was very good with them all I hated Low's sister she was a bitch and the baby daddy was twice her age . There was this scene where Low and marcus were getting very hot and heavy very nice *fan self* and he was doing something in the shower and low saw oh my freaking god . I really thought Cage was going to kill marcus when he found out but he didn't I love Marcus and Low together they are good for each other but holy shit I did not see this coming Low's sister is with Marcus's dad which Makes Larrisa Amanda and Marcus's sister ,holy shit and she goes to the house and comforts them and Marcus comes over and he thought she knew the entire time and broke up . Oh god so bad Low gets really sad but Marcus father tells him she didn't know and Marcus goes to low and she forgives him but she can't put her heart through that again I can see where she's coming from . But Cage tells low to give him another chance and Marcus leaves Low a vintage concert t-shirt awww so sweet and then they get back together and make love and I loved this book so much .

Quotes-

I love you.” My heart almost stopped beating in my chest.
She hadn’t spoken those words since the last time I held her in my arms.
“And you did leave me. But... but you came back. No one’s ever come back. They leave me and that’s it. They want to leave me. You didn’t. And you came back.” I wanted to stand up and reach across the table and jerk her into my arms but I wasn’t sure I could stand up just yet. I needed to hear everything she had to say.
“Yes, I came back. My heart never left you.”
“I miss you.”
This time I stood up and walked around the table.
“I miss you. Every second of every day,” I whispered. Her eyes followed me until I was inches from her.
“I trust you.”
I needed more than that.
“You trust me,” I repeated.
She nodded and her hand came up and caressed the side of my arm.
“I want to try again.”
Those were the words I needed to hear.”

Marcus , Please . The hand froze . I opened my eyes and started directly up into Cage's face . Did you just call me Marcus ?

Marcus Hardy was straight out of those gushy romance novels .

I'm not done here . I'm just beginning , Low . But I couldn't walk away again without that kiss.

June 15-17

When the family arrives at their summer getaway, Sadie is surprised to learn that the owner of the house is Jax Stone, one of the hottest teen rockers in the world. Everything about Sadie fascinates Jax, but he fights his attraction: Relationships never work in his world, and as badly as he wants Sadie, he believes she deserves more. Yet as the summer stretches on, Jax’s passion leaves him breathless—and Sadie feels like the only source of oxygen.

Can their love overcome the disparity in their lifestyles? One breath at a time, they’re going to find out.

Review - I loved this book this story was so cute this book is about Sadie and because her pregnant mother can't work she takes a job to work in a famous teen stars home . Jax can't wait to get away from the spotlight for a few months and then he meets sadie and he can't stay away no matter how he tries . There were allot of characters I loved Marcus *swoon alert* those Alabama boys ;) and right when Marcus is about to ask Saddie out Jax comes out and offers her a ride and she goes with him she knows it won't last but it doesn't stop her heart and how she feels about Jax . Saddie meets a new friend Amanda who turns out to be Marcus's younger sister . when Jax takes Sadie out to there own private movie things get allot hot and heavy wow ;) when Marcus tells her about Jax's "girlfriend" she gets upset and then Marcus kisses her HOLY CRAP ! I thought Sadie and Marcus would be good together if jax didn't exist but you can't help who you fall for other characters I loved were Marcus's friend Preston who was obviously hitting on Sadie allot and Marcus would usually punch him LOL . And Mrs . Marry who was mostly a mother figure to Sadie . When Sadie and Jax go to a party and then go back to his room and it gets hot and heavy again wow *blushes * oh and when they shower together wow that was wow and when they finally have sex it was so beautiful but sexy . When people find out about Sadie and Jax they break up and Sadie goes into a depression her mom has the baby Sam and her mom oh my god she wouldn't even hold him Sadie ends up falling on her bike and cracking her head cause she was over exerting herself Jax sings her out of her coma mostly and he shows up at homecoming I loved it so cute .

Quotes-

“You're with me, Sadie. When you're off the clock, you're not my employee. You're my.. Air."
I frowned at him. "Your air?"
He grinned. "Well, girlfriend seems to be a shallow word for what I feel for you..”

“If hearts could shatter, mine just did.”

I was going to cheat and pull down the fender stratocaster original over there and play you one of my number ones . See if I could get you to become putty in my hands, or at least throw your panties at me .

You're everything I write about in my songs but can never have .

Any girl in a ten-mile radius is going to stare you down if you wear if. It's impossible not to. A huge grin broke across his face. So does this mean you like me in this shirt ? I sighed and sat up a little straighter . I'm mature for my age , Jax not blind .

Book review : We should hang out sometime Embarrassingly , a true story by Josh Sundquist

We Should Hang Out Sometime: Embarrassingly, a true storyWe Should Hang Out Sometime: Embarrassingly, a true story by Josh Sundquist
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

June 10-14

A bright, poignant, and deeply funny autobiographical account of coming of age as an amputee cancer survivor, from Josh Sundquist: Paralympic ski racer, YouTube star, and motivational speaker.

Josh Sundquist only ever had one girlfriend.
For twenty-three hours.
In eighth grade.

Why was Josh still single? To find out, he tracked down the girls he had tried to date and asked them straight up: What went wrong?

The results of Josh's semiscientific, wholly hilarious investigation are captured here. From a disastrous Putt-Putt date involving a backward prosthetic foot, to his introduction to CFD (Close Fast Dancing), to a misguided "grand gesture" at a Miss America pageant, this story is about looking for love--or at least a girlfriend--in all the wrong places.

Review- I really loved this book I thought it was really funny it made me laugh many times . I sometimes read nonfiction but what I loved about this it just felt like a story not about someone's life I did love the parts with graphs and when he would go back and talk to the girls of the failed relationships. I read this with audiobook so it was the experience even more better everyone should read it . And I love the line we should hang out sometime .And I could understand what Josh was going through see I have a learning difference and no way am I comparing loosing a limb to a learning difference it's just I understand how people act when they learn that one thing about you.

Favorite Quotes-
Sometimes the best moments are the spontaneous ones you don't plan for.

Too late , already worried .
That's because you haven't heard about my boots yet .
um , what i've got a pair of steel-toed boots under my bunk bed in my door , explained kyle . The next time you see Lily , if you don't have have a DTR , I am going to put on those boots and I am going to kick you as hard as I possibly can in your balls.
excuse me ?
You heard me .
You're serious ?
in your balls.
Steel ?
Yes , it's an iron alloy. I'm sure you've heard of it.
Are you joking ?
Do I look like I'm joking ?
He doesn't look like he joking , interjected Brad .
Did I mention I was the starting forward of my high school soccer team ? Asked Kyle . I've got a mean left foot .
The next time I see her ?
or else .
Dude.... I said , incredulous
Steel . Your balls . Think about .
I sighed , surrendering . Okay , you leave me no other
choice . Next time I see her it is .
You do that , my boots stay under my bed .
Thanks , I guess ?
What else are friends for ?

But when you're faced with a significantly life- altering negative situation you can't control , you grasp at the little things you can control . The little opportunities where you can make choices for yourself.

The last time we say goodbye by Cynthia Hand *Spoilers*

The Last Time We Say GoodbyeThe Last Time We Say Goodbye by Cynthia Hand
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

May 1- June 4

There's death all around us.
We just don't pay attention.
Until we do.

The last time Lex was happy, it was before. When she had a family that was whole. A boyfriend she loved. Friends who didn't look at her like she might break down at any moment.

Now she's just the girl whose brother killed himself. And it feels like that's all she'll ever be.

As Lex starts to put her life back together, she tries to block out what happened the night Tyler died. But there's a secret she hasn't told anyone-a text Tyler sent, that could have changed everything.

Lex's brother is gone. But Lex is about to discover that a ghost doesn't have to be real to keep you from moving on.

Review- This book was a beautiful take on a girl who has to deal with the aftermath of her brothers suicide Lex use to be happy she use to have a great boyfriend but after Ty died she had a hole in her chest she felt guilty her mom can't take Ty being dead she keeps telling Lex her life is over and then Ty appears to Lex in her dreams and kind of like a ghost . Quotes -
“There's death all around us. Everywhere we look. 1.8 people kill themselves every second. We just don't pay attention. Until we do.”

This is going to sound trite, I suppose, but you never know when it’s going to be the last time. That you hug someone. That you kiss. That you say goodbye

People kept saying, ‘It’s going to be all right.’ That’s what they told me, over and over and over, like Don’t you worry, little girl, it will all be okay, because there’s got to be some bullshit overall rule of the universe that no matter what happens, no matter how bad it gets, everything will be all right in the end.”

“Yeah,” I murmur.

“And you know what I kept thinking? I kept thinking, That is a fucking lie. It is not going to be all right. It will never be all right, ever, ever again. So stop fucking lying to me.”

“Forgiveness is tricky, Alexis, because in the end it's more about you than it is about the person who's being forgiven.”

Waiting Wednesday

My disease is as rare as it is famous. It’s a form of Severe Combined Immunodeficiency, but basically, I’m allergic to the world. I don’t leave my house, have not left my house in fifteen years. The only people I ever see are my mom and my nurse, Carla.

But then one day, a moving truck arrives. New next door neighbors. I look out the window, and I see him. He’s tall, lean and wearing all black—black t-shirt, black jeans, black sneakers and a black knit cap that covers his hair completely. He catches me looking and stares at me. I stare right back. His name is Olly. I want to learn everything about him, and I do. I learn that he is funny and fierce. I learn that his eyes are Atlantic Ocean-blue and that his vice is stealing silverware. I learn that when I talk to him, my whole world opens up, and I feel myself starting to change—starting to want things. To want out of my bubble. To want everything, everything the world has to offer.

Maybe we can’t predict the future, but we can predict some things. For example, I am certainly going to fall in love with Olly. It’s almost certainly going to be a disaster.

First off  this  cover  is  gorgeous  and  this  book is probably going to tear  out  my heart.  Release date  comes  out  September  1, 2015
